Having eaten at this wonderful restaurant 20 or more times but not in the past 13 years my son got me and my wife of 3 years a gift certificate for A Touch of Italy for Christmas because of how I used to rave about it in the past. We used it for my 69th Bday in late May . It was her first time there. We had a fabulous meal and a wonderful experience. I saw the manager Scott who I had remembered from my times there and told him nothing had changed in all these years except one thing. He wondered what that was and I said, the food was better!!! Our waitress Ardis was excellent and we had such a wonderful experience that my wife said now we can come here on all our special occasions. We came back for our 3rd anniversary dinner on July 31st. Another excellent meal and experience. Lena and Scott treated us like family both times and we really love them and and the restaurant and their great staff. 10 stars for the restaurant, food and staff from us!!!!!!!

Tried Touch of Italy during restaurant week and are we glad we did. I never knew this place was here even tho I work 10 mins away. From apps to deserts everything was great, and the tempo of dinner was very enjoyable, never rushed. Pasta to Veal parm it was all fresh, and we'll made. This is a hidden gem that if your in the area is a must try. UPDATE -Oct. 6, 2022 - Went again during restaurant week and it was nice to see the restaurant was a little busy. Food was fantastic as always.

Went with my wife for our weekly date night on Friday a few weeks ago. I had the veal parm subbed vodka sauce and it was really good. We had mozzarella sticks for an appetizer they could have had more flavor but they were good. Overall food was good. Would definitely go back again service was decent too we reserved online and they had a table waiting for us.

Where to start . . . walked in at 5:55pm left at 10pm. Horrible experience all the way around. Was meeting at Taste of Italy with family and friends for a birthday party with a party of 16. Got there and said they cancelled reservation because the number they wrote down to confirm was wrong. CONFUSED-hostess said party was confirmed when booked and said party is in their system. Caller ID is a thing in the year 2021, check your phone and get the right number, duh!

After 1 hour and 30 mins we were seated.

Waitress was informed we needed separate checks when we ordered. Said, no problem. (Why would it be a problem? People get separate checks all the time.) At the end of the night the waitress brings out one bill and says she can charge different credit cards the same amount or if we want to figure out how much we each owe we could do that. CONFUSED- wasn’t the whole point in telling you we need separate checks, was that we needed separate checks? Why are we figuring out what we owe? Waitress lazy or suffering from an intellectual disability, your pick.

Bad service. One waitress for 16 people, seems unfair, to be fair. But waitress was doe-eyed and shy like this was her first rodeo. Let’s not forget, several appetizers and meals did not come out. Where’s the bread? Come on were buying drinks here, you can bring us out some bread. Waitress tells birthday girl bread is in the oven, and she can’t get anymore because other waitresses are grabbing the bread. CONFUSED- you’re a restaurant that serves bread with dinner, what’s the problem? The worse offense of the evening . . . A member of the group has a severe gluten allergy. He is served and told his meal is gluten free and starts eating. But then the waitress has a busboy deliver the same meal to my sister where she is told she has the gluten free meal. Naturally the person with the allergy is upset and wants to know if they gave him the wrong meal. CONFUSED-two people order the same meal one gluten free, one not gluten free, you don’t make sure to denote the difference? BAD BUSSINESS.

Conclusion: I have never eaten at a restaurant less equipped to serve food in my life. And I’m Italian, and eat a lot, so I’ve been around a restaurant or two. This place deserves less than a one star, from hostess blaming us for the cancelation (when clearly, we did not cancel it, they failed to confirm it on their end), bad service, cold food, (maybe food would have been better if it wasn’t cold. Hey Taste of Italy it’s the middle of December, turn on the heat, it will help keep food room temperature at least. But to be fair I ordered Pizza and it was not bad. Other members of the party had issues with the food.) And the pièce de résistance, the potential medical emergency.

Take away for this restaurant. Hire persons with stronger work ethics, watch food contamination, allergies are serious, take them seriously, and make sure when booking reservations, you read the number back to the person on the phone. Must throw this in there. Update décor, the rug framed with the black candle sconces bordering it in your entrance looks liked you stepped into Dracula’s castle. CONFUSED-are we in...

As a first time guest of this restaurant, I was hoping to get good food and great service. Unfortunately that was not the case... ordered the fettuccine alfredo...my server was great... it was the man that stared at me the entire time....will get back to that part... received my food and it was very bland and tasted funny... tried to add parmesan, pepper and salt to taste, but it wasn't helping... while all this is happening, the same guy is still staring at my every move.

Continuing trying to make this meal work, my fork ran into a half dollar sized egg shell in the middle of my plate, that is where I reached my limit. The guy that have been staring at me gets up and walks into the kitchen. A different server come out from the kitchen and approached my table requesting that he takes my food stating rudely "Are you done?" as if we requested his service...my plate was full, so not sure how he would assume I was done with my meal. So I asked for the manager, for customer service was not their plan this evening....

And of course the person that was staring at me the entire evening was the manager. With the complete lack of positivity or care, he asked how he could help. I stated that I don't understand why he would send a server to come pick up my food in the middle of dinner and also showing him the large eggshell found in my plate.

I don't mind errors in the kitchen....it happens to the best restaurants in the world. But how you are treated by staff and management as if you are not worthy enough to eat at your place of business is the worst feeling you can have at a restaurant.

Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone...undercooked food and unfortunately service that isn't acceptable is the year 2021. Don't stare at your customers when you obviously see they are not having a good experience....come to their table and see how you can help their experience better and...

We had an awful dine in experience at this restaurant this evening. The evening started off on a bad note. When we arrived we were told our reservations did not exist. Okay, mistakes happen from time to time and they were willing to seat us anyway, so hopefully the night could be salvaged. Boy were we wrong. We stuck around and were seated after an hour of waiting. The food took about another hour to come out. The long wait for the food would have not been as bad if it wasn't freezing inside! It took a couple of complaints before the cold air was finally turned off. At least if there was any sort of saving grace to the evening, it was the food was decent. The nightmare really bloomed when we were given the final bill. Prior to dinner we asked and we were told we could have separate checks (we were in a big party). When the bill came, it was all on one bill, and the waitress said it couldn't be split and didn't even offer to help figure out everyone's totals. The waitress just sat there and watched as everyone was trying to figure out what they ordered and owed, even though when she took everyone's orders she asked who was with who and pretended to write the order down like it was separated. I have never seen such a mess when paying a final bill. To be honest the experience was so bad it wouldn't have mattered how good the food was, definitely will not...
