The Egremont Barn — Restaurant in Egremont

It was a Wednesday night, open Mike night. First time there. Walked up the door that was covered in handwritten signs about not smoking weed, cigarettes, etc by the door. First impression was to leave. We walked in and found a a few tables full. The bar had a few people. Read another hand written sign that orders have to be placed at the bar. Stood there dumbfounded for a few seconds yet neither bartender welcomed us in. There was no welcome at all. Luckily the menu was out on the table. A very limited menu with half the items being burgers. Walked up to the bar and a were told we could sit anywhere yet we were still not asked if we wanted anything, not even from the bar. We sat for a few minutes but could not pick out one thing we wanted to eat or drink. We decided this experience, and staff, were not worth our money and we walked out. If you don't want service, go here. Maybe the bartenders will stop talking long enough to help you or even greet you. Hopefully the entertainment is better than anything else here. I gave them one star, first because Google makes me, but also for an bad experience I will...

The Barn at Egremont Village Inn gives a musician hope that there are still people out there willing to make a great meeting place for live music that isn’t cookie-cutter corporate.

The sound is great. The food is very good. There are sturdy paper straws and plenty of good vibes. There was quite a diverse crowd there for a country place, and I have to believe that that is due to the very welcoming environment created by the staff.

Go, and remind yourself, or experience for the first time, what an authentic live music club experience...

Food was delicious, cocktails were good but limited variety of liquors and garnishes/ingredients. They had a busy weekend so they were sold out of a lot.

You order at the bar, which was busy and had a line, so it was quite a wait before you could get a drink; the kitchen staff brings food to your table. Most of the staff were super friendly (except for 1 of the bartenders, who was noticeably stressed and in a bad mood for some of the night). But again, food was amazing; I would definitely go again for the burgers and shrimp...
