If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I recently visited Chick-A-Dilly in El Dorado for the first time, and unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. The restaurant’s hygiene standards were noticeably lacking, as staff were not using PPE while handling food across different orders, which raised serious concerns about cleanliness. Additionally, the customer service was, at the very least, terrible. The staff seemed uninterested and were not very helpful. They did not take the time to assure me of my order, instead slamming the food on the counter and speedily reciting a short summary without even mentioning the designated name of the customer.
To make matters worse, they do not accept debit or credit cards, which was quite inconvenient and gave the place a somewhat shady feel. My wife was unsure she had the exact amount of change, and tried to use her card. The cashier, or maybe the assistant manager, threw her hands up and began yelling at her. This made her feel so scared and overwhelmed. Lastly, the other worker was very rude as well, which made the overall experience unpleasant. The diverse group of people in the lobby that day seemed on edge, insinuating the same feeling. Personally, I will not tolerate these issues just to order food for my family. Chick-A-Dilly needs a complete overhaul in my opinion. So, beware to anyone who comes for the “Amazing Chicken.” It is not worth it when there are tons of other BETTER chicken places. Maybe the new Southern Classic Chicken will have a better...
Read moreI love Chick A Dilly.... but read dont just rely on that. 1st of all I love the bird period 😂. When done right chick a dilly does it best. Thats right they dont always get it right. You can go 2 times in 1 day ans 1st have the best chicken you've ever tasted and then turn around later and get chicken that taste so old you think Methuselah made it. I live in sc so when i come Im not gonna lie I go constantly the entire time im there and of about 9 times they get it right about 3 or 4 times. The odds are not good. I grew up on this place Their prices are very cheap. And everything on the menu is really good if made right. I dont even eat livers and their livers are the bomb. They have worst attitudes especially if you from the area in my opinion. This last time I was down which was last week I believe everyone was nice except 1 lady and the only way I could describe her is almost slooth footed when she walk. I am an extremely nice person this is one of the reasons most of the ladies were nice to me cause their orginal aura was negative. But I was not able to be overly kind to her. I would specify my order and she would look at me sideways. I ask for a dilly deal with 2 legs and a thigh and ahe would say you mean 2 thighs I would say no Ill pay extra. She did this multiple times when the others would say ok and let me know...
Read moreThe service is unbelievably rude, but the chicken is OMG, so good. Be prepared for the drive thru attendant to make you feel like an idiot if you have any questions, or make the mistake of ordering something from the first menu you see when you drive up. As an example: "We'd like the 12 piece dark please." Guy at window: "No one does that. I'm not sure I can sell you a 12 piece" Me: "OK, well we saw it on the menu" Guy at window: "You might as well get the 15 piece" Me: "OK, lets do that. What are corn nuggets?" Guy at window: (pause) "They're....corn nuggets" Me: "Right, can you tell me about them?" Guy at window: "You look like you don't know what they are. Do you want to just get some?" Me, giving up: "Sure" Pulls out credit card. Guy at window: (heavy sigh, look of despair and frustration) "Please tell me you have cash" Me: "Uh sure, here you go" Guy at window takes cash, closes window, revealing the "cash only" sign that had been obscured.
Everyone else in Arkansas is really nice though! And again, the...
