Qian Xun Kabab Bar — Restaurant in El Monte

Saw the place on a Chinese blog site and decided to seek it out. It doesn't have any English sign outside and not very to spot it if you're just driving by. We got there about 8pm on Thursday night, the place was empty, so we started doubting our decision to come. However the food turned out to be great. We had lamb skewers, beef skewers and spicy rib skewers, everything was good but on the spicy side. There's no menu at the place, you need to scan a QR code to download an app if you don't already have it to view the menu. I wasn't going to download a random app that I wouldn't use afterwards so I borrowed the phone of an employee there. If I could give a 0-star rating on Google Reviews, I definitely would. Even 1 star feels like too much. The hygiene in the restaurant is terrible. While sitting, I could vaguely smell something bad… What’s even more unacceptable is that the meat I ate was spoiled. That one bite left me feeling nauseous all night. After finishing the meal at around 11 p.m., I woke up at 7 a.m. the next morning with such bad stomach pain that I couldn’t sleep and had to rush to the bathroom. The service was also extremely poor—zero service!

I hope the owner sees this and makes at least some improvements to their poor hygiene conditions. As a restaurant, I don’t expect outstanding service, but at the very least, it should be clean and not put customers’...

This Chinese Skewer is okay compared to other places. It has old fashion style inside that let me feel in 90s. The prices of this place is almost as same as other places. Also, services there is good and fast that makes me feel comfortable. However, parking here maybe a problem because it is small and street parking is not enough as well. In addition, based on food and drinks, I like Pear Lemonade but nothing special in my opinion. Also, I do believe food quality and size need to be improved because it is not that big enough such as fish tofu and eggplant. It was 4 stars review but because some meat such as need to orders as 5, and my brothers wasn't feel well after the meal, and it went to 3.5 stars...
