0 STARS!!!!! Not for me! It was too loud and I barely could understand everyone because they were speaking Spanish! I also spended about $150+ per person. Could you imagine? 150 DOLLARS!!! It also took not just 1 or 2 but THREE HOURS that I waited for a table! When the food was ready, it tasted HORRIBLE. It tasted like slop but with extra spice. The service was bad. The atmosphere was gross. In fact, the whole restaurant was bad. There was food on the ground. Babies Cry here and there 24/7. And the insects. Well that's just ANOTHER LEVEL OF GROSSNESS. There are roaches, spiders, ants and other creepy crawlers everywhere. Someone even reported a SPIDER in his "Tex-Mex" Taco. The people who work there are a whole new level of mean! They just scroll on their phones while people are trying to get their orders. (They also speak Spanish) I heard some stories (possibly myths) that they even SWEAR at you if you are 'bugging them' according to them. It's Just Bad, Filthy, Yucky, Gross, Mean and Many more. I will never EVER in my life EVER AGAIN to come or even SEE this Mess. I recommand all of you reading this to not come to this restaurant in your live time. RUN AWAY if you see this restaurant. GO HIDE. NEVER COME BACK. I am saying goodbye to this ''what so ever'' PLACE. Actually Since this is like the "Mexican Spanish blah blah blah" side of Texas, I'm saying ADIOS. ADOIS "peepee" Mexican Restaurant! Y'all should really tell the government of Texas to close...

So, picture this: It's Sunday night in El Paso, and I find myself at Kiki's Mexican Restaurant. It's like the chosen one, the only joint open past 8 pm. Our Airbnb host gave it a big thumbs up, so why not embark on this culinary adventure?

As I stroll into what seems like a time capsule of El Paso's culinary history, the walls covered in articles from the Jurassic era (okay, 1988). Prices for Enchiladas were apparently $3-4 back then, and shockingly, they're still in the same ballpark today. Inflation, where art thou?

I bravely order the Number 2 combo plate with Brisket, a symphony of 2 Red Enchiladas, One Meat Taco, and One Chile Relleno. It's the ultimate sampler platter – the Cheesecake Factory of Mexican cuisine. The plate's so massive; I half-expected it to come with its own GPS tracker. And the price? A steal. The food, though? Meh. The brisket was like a well-done skirt steak – tender yet not the love story I was hoping for. The Chile Relleno was good, but let's say it didn't make me want to write a sonnet.

Now, coming from LA, where Mexican food reigns supreme, Kiki's didn't quite make it to the Hall of Fame. The highlights? Wallet-friendly prices and their unique approach to serving food – a little too unique, as I almost became a connoisseur of red chile-covered plastic zip ties.

In conclusion, is Kiki's worth a visit? Well, it's like that quirky friend you keep around for the laughs – entertaining but not exactly a Michelin...

Being a Mexico native, I was very excited to try this restaurant since it had promising reviews and my friends highly recommend it. I was actually very disappointed in the quality of the food- no I didn't go at their closing time, and yes, I was very patient with the waitstaff. I'm judging this on the flautas plate- which is what I had. The flautas were BURNT to a crisp on the THICKEST flauta tortillas i have ever seen in my life. I'm no exaggerating and yes, I took pictures. The tortillas were dark brown from how burnt they were, and had I not asked for guac AND sour cream, i don't know what it would've tasted like. Might I add that they only have ONE salsa for the flautas? The traditional way of making flautas is on very thin tortillas (think an ALMOST egg roll thinness, but crunchier, if you're trying to picture it), with a "tricolor" salsa array on top- guac, sour cream, and a red salsa. The waiter was ok- he saw that I didn't like what I had but didn't stop again until my husband was done with his plate...I've worked at a restaurant during my college years so I KNOW the customer is not always right, but this was just embarrassing for ME to tell them I didn't like it... nice place though.... had we not been sat all the way to the back by the kitchen, even with open tables in the main dining area...
