La Pupusa Queen — Restaurant in El Paso

Stopped by today at 11:15am (before lunch rush, dining area was empty) at Popusa Queen. I ordered a popusa, a quesabirria and 2 horchatas. 20 minutes later I was given a popusa and missing a quesabirria. I mentioned to the owner, (the person who took my order) if they were going to take longer with my quesabirria as I needed to deliver the food to my daughter at school. The owner got my order and began arguing with his staff about why was an order given incomplete. I then overheard the kitchen staff state they didn't make a quesabirria. At that point, I was 5 minutes away from my deadline and asked if it was going to be long to get my food. The owner turned around upset and responded, "if you wanted fast food you should have gone to Mcdonalds". I was obviously upset and responded "if I wanted to go to Mcdonalds, I would have gone there." Normally I would have left with my refund but it was almost lunch time so I waited for my order. Meanwhile the owner kept ranting "you cant come here and demand things..." Needless to say, this is the last time I will spend a dime in this establishment. Very unprofessional and lacks accountability. A simple apology would...

I went there for lunch and was like the 5th person there not too sure. As I was ordering he wasn’t too friendly and he just wouldn’t pay attention. He would talk and yell to the side he would disregard me. I didn’t really mind. They were about to go into a rush since students were about to come in. He took my order which was a green chile burrito and a sprite and I paid $6.47 or around that. I didn’t acknowledge where he placed the order ticket. About 20 minutes pass and my order hasn’t been called and people who got here after me and ordered more stuff than me got their stuff already then I look at the cooking station and I see my order ticket just sitting there. I even took a photo! I asked a women working there if my order was almost done or if there was a problem. She said she would check it out. I had enough and told them my ticket was just sitting there and they finally made my burrito and it came out in like two minutes like seriously? When I asked about the sprite I paid for and costed like 3 dollars they said it wasn’t on the order like what? They ended giving me the sprite. Anyways the food is so good tho! Food was good but not the service. We had Melanie (I believe her name was)and another gentleman that took our order. We assumed that the gentleman was new because she shadowed him but we thought he did okay for taking our order. We had 6 plates in total that were ordered. 2 of the 6 came quickly and the others 4 were about a 20 minute wait afterward. While the others were running around a lady named Isabelle in a blue shirt came and dropped off the rest of our order. The 2 waiters never came back to check if we were okay. The cook in the back in a grey shirt seemed agitated, maybe the manager or owner, over the servers, yelling across the restaurant. When I asked the woman in the blue shirt if I could have a refill of my drink the cook again yelled across the room and told her no that the server was going to but again neither Melanie nor the gentleman came back. Just very poor...
