Los Tres Gallegos — Restaurant in El Paso

I didn't know whether to give three or two stars on this review because I have been to this place for many years, even when they were located on Lee Trevino. The food has always been great and up until today the service has also. We sat down at a corner table in the far room and we were greeted by a young lady who took our drink order and brought us our drinks. We were there for the buffet today so we helped ourselves and got started with our meal. The young lady that brought us our drinks never returned to take plates or refill drinks. I had to go find her to get a refill on my tea and when I told her I needed a refill and more napkins, her response was "I'm not your waitress". She went on to deny initially that she even brought us our drinks to begin with. I told her that we weren't blind and that we know that she brought us our drinks , but she insisted that she wasn't our waitress and that someone else was. I told her that nobody had been by the table to check on us the entire time that we had been there. She said she would bring my refill and the napkins and tell the person who was supposed to be our waitress so that she could stop by our table. The person who was supposed to be our waitress never did stop by our table once during our visit. On our way out we told the gentleman at the checkout counter of our experience and while we were there , the girl that brought us our drinks saw that we were talking with the gentleman and came to the counter also with her bad attitude ready for a fight. Continuing to claim that she was not our waitress I simply told the gentleman that oversights happen I understand but her response should not have been what it was but should have been more like what she can do to fix the situation. The gentleman was polite and offered an apology but offered no discount or other compensation for the poor service that they provided, or the bad attitude shown by the young lady. So they get 2 or 3 stars based on this they only deserve 2 but I gave 3 because the food has always been good but I don't believe that I'll be going back...

Very disappointed. This place used to be really good. We went there and we waited for the breakfast crowd to clear out. We thought we went at a good time because they were switching over to the lunch buffet and the food would be nice and fresh. The food was ridiculously greasy and just about everything had a very odd flavor to it. The flautas and the tacos were decent, so if I had to say anything positive about the food, that's it. The chile rellenos were very greasy and burned on the bottom. The cheese inside looked grayish. I didn't get any of it, but my wife and kids said that the jello in their cold section tasted like dirty water. I remember this place being very good many years ago and I'm sad to say that we won't be going back anytime soon. For as much as they charge, the food quality should have been a lot better. Our server was friendly, but very inattentive. We were a large group, but not once was anyone's drink refilled. Also, I found it a little odd that they brought us plastic spoons and forks to eat with. Anyway, like I said, we won't be going back, at least not unless changes to the quality of the food are made. Letty, a waitress showed her cabrona true self. I walked in and waited to be seated. Well the couple behind me was also waiting when Letty approached them and guided them to be seated next leaving me behind them. Letty made sure to have the next table cleaned for them BUT another waitress sat me at that table. I was already sitting there when Letty came over telling me and guiding me to move somewhere else. Another older waitress stepped in to help bc Letty was quite adamant of moving me out of the way. I did move to get away from the couple seated at that table and especially to get away from this incompetent POS Letty!!! When I was serving myself my plate, I approached her and stated to her in Spanish, "That was not ok what you did." Letty immediately answered while patting me on the back, "It's ok. IT'S OK!" I immediately told her in a stronger tone, "No!!! It's not ok!!! Don't excuse your behavior!!!" After that, she avoided all eye contact with me. WHAT POS service Letty!!! Spoke to the manager and she even stated that she noticed Letty's unprofessional behavior towards me. The manager apologized but was also confused over the waitresses...
