Walked in a party of 3 on a Sunday brunch period to a restaurant with 3-4 tables seated. Nobody told us where to sit so we chose a spot.
After a heavily distracted waiter attended to us, we waited ~5 minutes for our drinks (2 teas, lemonade) and another roughly 30 more minutes of for the first 2 of our sandwiches. After a while longer, a plate of hastily made appetizer nachos were brought out, until we had to remind (what we believe to be) the manager of our 3rd party member's plat to be brought out, whose birthday was being celebrated.
While the sandwiches were nothing special with the breakfast brisket having very fatty cuts of brisket and the skin of the chicken sandwich falling off the meat, the 2 meat platter that took forever to come out was just horrendous. 2 small fatty cuts of brisket, lightly seasoned and hastily made, 6 or so very lightly cooked and rushed sausages, watery flavorless bean, and a potato with cold cheese. Not to mention the thin sliced breads barely worth mentioning. Low on seasoning, flavor, and disregard for any presentation.
Granted, Sundays may be a difficult day to be properly staffed at times, but there should never be an excuse for food that took forever to come out to be lightly cooked and very apparently rushed. Nothing about the experience showed proper management or any level. Highly disappointed considering last year was not nearly as bad as this time. Overpriced and even...
Read moreThis was my wife and i's second time here and the food is really what brought us back. My wife left work to take me to the doctors and we were out since so we figure, why not treat ourselves.
The service was good last time but this time around was a bit different. We were hungry and ordered almost right off the back. Our waitress was nice and checked on us quite often.
I had already taken some pictures because I was getting ready to write a review about how amazing the food is here and how happy it makes us ( the food does ) but then when our visit was coming to an end it took an unexpected turn and kind of ruined the experience for us. My wife is military and was in uniform. Now I know people can't assume but....as my wife went to swipe her card I asked "do you guys offer military discount? " and she frozen up as the card was swiped and said "oh yeah, but you already swiped your card"(if there was suspicion about it she could've asked for an ID but she didn't) And then she asked if we needed boxes and we said " no but we are taking these leftover fries with our take out" (that we ordered prior to cashing out)...not even 2 minutes later shes comes back around with our food and before we could open the bag to put the fries in she threw dirty dishes on them and when we said something about it she looked at us with a blank stare and walked away, not...
Read moreI was thoroughly disappointed with my recent visit to this restaurant. It took an excruciating 15 minutes for the waitresses to even acknowledge our presence. Considering the relatively low foot traffic, it was quite perplexing that they didn’t even bother to inform us that they would be right with us.
Once we finally received our menus, we placed our drink orders, requesting lemonade. To our dismay, they brought back a watery, diluted version of the packet lemonade. It was essentially the same as water, and we would have been better off ordering water directly.
This incident is particularly disappointing because we have consistently been impressed with the quality of the food at this establishment. However, the service consistently falls short of meeting the food standards.
As a result, I will be avoiding this place for the time being until I see significant improvements in the staffing department. The waitresses seemed more interested in engaging in conversations than ensuring that everyone received their orders promptly.
After receiving our drinks, we decided to leave immediately, as the service had already reached a point where it was no longer tolerable. We didn’t want to risk ruining our evening with subpar service...
