Gallegos Montana — Restaurant in El Paso

Wow, this place was horrible. I had the buffet ($10) and I had to wait 30 min for a glass of water that I asked for 5 times on a Thursday afternoon AFTER lunch rush. The guy brings me a Sprite and ACTUALLY ARGUES WITH ME THAT HE BROUGHT ME A WATER 😂😂 EVERTHING was very salty. Im talking about "lick your finger and put it in salt" salty. except for the ceviche which was very sweet. The calabacita was like water and salt in a bowl of mushy veggies. 🤦 I asked for the grilled chicken to be refilled 4 times and it never made it out. To top it off, a couple of the tables I tried wobbled. I got fed up and left. Don't be suprised if you walk out of there with high blood pressure. It wasn't until dinner time that the burning sensation of my mouth, from all the salt, went away. It amazes me how low the standards are for some El Pasoans to keep restaurants...

Chile Colorado w/ pork chunks or also known as Chile Asado best in town. Breakfast buffet 15$ a person drink included. Scrambled eggs w/ chorizo and A La Mexicana, that means fresh jalapenos, onion, and tomatoes. Pancakes, sausage, and weenies. Hash browns need a little bit more crisp. Rajas or California Chile and Jalapeno strips with tomato, onion, and cheese in a tasty milky broth. Posole and Menudo, with toasted bollilos with butter. Mexican style or pan dulce. Red Chilaquiles, Papas A La Mexicana, Chicharrones in a Chile broth. Bean tacos, they had Buche the other day a little bland for my taste, I like my Buche crispy and with more chorizo....

We used to enjoy this place but now not so much. They're very easy going as far as safety on their buffet line. They have a sign asking people to wear gloves and mask when getting food but don't enforce it. Their own workers don't follow either. There was a lady talking on her phone the whole time she was getting food. She wouldn't move and let others serve themselves. Several customers complained to staff but nothing was done. There was also a man grabbing and eating food off the line with bare hands in front of the workers. No one told him anything. As much as we enjoy the food and variety, idk that...
