These people are Shameless in serving up overcooked soggy vegatables, bread pudding that is dry as a lufa sponge, coffee that smells like the smolderings of a house fire, and a dinner menu offereing odd misfits of dinner plates. The stir fry was half filled with the most overcooked broccoli which had ruined the tastes of all the other ingredients of which rice was the only asian ingredient. Should have been called shrimp stew on bed of rice. Best to stick to the soup of the day and theyre salad bar. Go heavy on the salad bar's shrimp. We may have done better to have ordered breakfast for dinner. Is it peach or pear cobbler? Never saw brown peaches before. Apple crisp? Not sure. The taste was ruined by the raisons and an unidentified white film on top. The bread pudding dry enough to dip in coffee perhaps but in no way should ever be referred to as a pudding. Maybe it should have been plated individually wrapped servings with the other unidentifiable brown deserts. The server was delightful and took great care of us, but the cooks, the dessert cart arranger and the person making decisions on the menu and specials are apparently not familiar with what's considered acceptable here in America. The atmosphere is very nice and the seating is very comfy Breakfast may be better but I'll never find out because I won't be back unless they're the only restaurant open during the next...

Read moreI was really surprised. Somewhat older type restaurant where you'd expect surprises....but they were great surprises. Had the Gyro Pita and fries. Good meal, fries cooked and crispy. Excellent salad bar, very well stocked. The breakfast bacon and pancakes are excellent. They have that fluffly funnel cake flavor. I will definitely make my meal stops here when traveling through. Good meals, quick service, and excellent prices. UPDATE: 1 OCTOBER 2021. Stopped in again for dinner. Again, an excellent meal at very reasonable prices. Had the buffet of shrimp, walleye, mac and cheese and crab legs. Also comes with the salad bar. All for under $14 dollars. Just found out that there are two different Woodys. This one is located in El Paso just North of Bloomington Normal. UPDATE: 27 MAY 2022. Stopped in again for dinner meal. Had the buffet. Salad bar excellent. Great variety of addons. Main meal was chicken, fish and crab legs. Cat fish was good as well as the sides....the crab legs were terrible. Cooked too long, absolutely no taste, not saltiness, just tasteless meat. Other than that, the dessert was good. Service was great. Had to down grade by one star for the one item...they were that bad. I did notify mmanagement. Hopefully, just a one time issue. However, I will still definitely eat there while...
