I had high hopes for Freeman's based on all the positive reviews, but my recent visit for our anniversary left me quite disappointed. The service was not up to par; we had to ask multiple times for our orders, and our appetizer and entrees arrived simultaneously, which was quite confusing. The wait time was longer than expected, and it seemed like our server was either overwhelmed or forgot about us.
My wife ordered the ribeye steak, but it came out overcooked, dry, and surprisingly thin (approximately quarter inch thick, when I expected an inch and a quarter to 2 inches thick). After that, she decided to try the salmon, but unfortunately, it was undercooked and lacked any glaze or seasoning. Now, she's dealing with an upset stomach, which is really upsetting.
I didn’t voice my concerns during our meal, but I believe it’s important for potential diners to know what to expect. I hope Freeman’s can improve on these aspects...

We ordered grilled chicken (and by grilled I mean a boiled piece of chicken that was flash grilled) just way too soft and lacking “grill” flavor. And the extra thin (Omaha?) ribeye steak had been over marinated to soften it…..but that didn’t work. Pie wasn’t homemade, like frozen and not “nuked” long enough. Waitress was great, they weren’t busy, nostalgia and cleanliness added points. But if that is the only reason you are making a trip to ER, maybe stick with the FO burgers or the restaurants on 66. We may give it another shot, maybe their still working on things. And I hope it works out for them bc El Reno needs downtown businesses. But maybe make the menu smaller with...
