Just west of OKC there is a hidden gem that is Freeman’s! The vibe of historic honor and clean open space with nostalgia and comfort is beyond amazing. The staff is phenomenal and the owner, Mike - speaks from a place of passion meeting project to respect the integrity and history of both the space and the menu - Miranda was exquisite in her cocktails and Service and the food … OHHHHH the food - when I tell you this place will transcend you to your memaws kitchen but with a little extra flavor I am not lying! Hands down best meatloaf I have ever eaten and the flame grilled touch to it is beyond chefs kiss !!!!!!! And do yourself a favor - do NOT miss the apple pie with CINNAMON ice cream ! We will be back , we will schedule special events and we will say we told ya’ll about this place when it’s packed and you can’t even get a seat because it’s coming ! 12 out of 10 yum!

This is a gem in El Reno. The staff were nothing but pleasant and the food was amazing. The burger was seasoned really well and so when you bit into it was filled with flavor. The Chicken Fried Chicken is seasoned and breaded to perfection - not too heavy on the breading, just the right amount of crisp. The jalapeño ranch was incredible, too. I’m not usually one for spicy foods, but it delivered a mild heat that was combined really well with the creamy ranch. Definitely a must, even if you don’t live in the El Reno area. It’s about 30-40 minutes from OKC, but it’s well worth the drive.

Very good experience! We had fried cheese, meatloaf with mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese. All were excellent. The server was very friendly and efficient. Definitely recommend.

I had high hopes for Freeman's based on all the positive reviews, but my recent visit for our anniversary left me quite disappointed. The service was not up to par; we had to ask multiple times for our orders, and our appetizer and entrees arrived simultaneously, which was quite confusing. The wait time was longer than expected, and it seemed like our server was either overwhelmed or forgot about us.

My wife ordered the ribeye steak, but it came out overcooked, dry, and surprisingly thin (approximately quarter inch thick, when I expected an inch and a quarter to 2 inches thick). After that, she decided to try the salmon, but unfortunately, it was undercooked and lacked any glaze or seasoning. Now, she's dealing with an upset stomach, which is really upsetting.

I didn’t voice my concerns during our meal, but I believe it’s important for potential diners to know what to expect. I hope Freeman’s can improve on these aspects...

So the decor was great, brought back memories of old downtown ER in its glory days. But sadly the food wasn’t great, edible but not good. We ordered grilled chicken (and by grilled I mean a boiled piece of chicken that was flash grilled) just way too soft and lacking “grill” flavor. And the extra thin (Omaha?) ribeye steak had been over marinated to soften it…..but that didn’t work. Pie wasn’t homemade, like frozen and not “nuked” long enough. Waitress was great, they weren’t busy, nostalgia and cleanliness added points. But if that is the only reason you are making a trip to ER, maybe stick with the FO burgers or the restaurants on 66. We may give it another shot, maybe their still working on things. And I hope it works out for them bc El Reno needs downtown businesses. But maybe make the menu smaller with...
