I ordered a gyro combo. I was charged $1.50 for extra Tzatziki which was overpriced in my opinion for 2 spoonful of sauce. As well as a upcharge in the amount of $1.50 for choosing feta cheese as a topping. There was no salt or seasoning on the fries at all so they were incredibly bland. The actual sauce it self didn't have much flavor either. There was also a 3% charge for using a card which was not posted or told to me prior to paying. Although the gentleman that helped me was very nice I will not be back.
UPDATE: I just wanted to clarify a few things on my end as well. I should have made it clear in my initial review, that I was made aware that it would be an upcharge for the feta, sauce and ranch that I requested. So I do apologize because I was not trying to make it seem as if I was charged and did not know before hand as far as the extras. However, in my review I mentioned those specificlly because the pricing of the upcharges were overpriced for what I received. I didn't not mention the ranch because .75 cents was very appropriate for the amount I recieved and that was fine with me.
As far as the 3% fee no I was not made aware of that on the card reader or by the gentleman that checked me out. That is the reason why I came back to the counter asking about the price difference that the receipt displayed. Once he explained that it was because of the fee I started looking around for the sign that states that. The gentleman said its right there by the register but when he looked it was gone and he kept saying it was weird that someone moved it. He then flips the screen around to allow me to see that it says on his end its the 3% fee for using a card but it does not show that on my receipt.
This review was too share my personal opinion about my experience of the food I recieved and pricing of said food. I am not trying to tare this business down in any way. As stated in my first review I did mention how nice the gentleman that helped me was which spoke to your customer service. And I will add how clean the establishment was as well which was a...
Read moreTL;DR: Good food, great service, atmosphere see below, would recommend for sure.
Food was pretty good. I don't like my Tzatziki super tangy and it's not here, so that's great. I got the traditional gyro platter. Gyro meat, chicken gyro, pork kebab, meatballs, bed of rice, and a Greek salad. Gyro meat was good, chicken was good, I don't like pork at all so I didn't like the kabab, the meatballs were bland. Everything was just a bit dry, but otherwise was above average. I enjoyed the food and would recommend it. The platter should come with a Peta I think, I had to pay like a buck fifty extra for one pita. I used it to stack my own Gyro up. But I did enjoy it.
The service was great. For the minute or two I was ordering the person at the register was nice and engaging and listened while I told a short story of a great Gyro place in Chicago I miss when I used to live there. Was clear with ordering and didn't attempt to hide the sir charge for the pita and feta I got. Even though I think the platter should come with a pita, deep respect for being forward about it, a lot of places might just add it and let it ride without saying anything. I think most people would be mad about it and say something passive aggressive but I don't mind if they're up front.
The atmosphere isn't bad, maybe the walls are just a TINY bit empty and generic, but there is a beautiful mural. I was pestered by 3 flies the moment I sat down, however. Big bummer there. Flies are a constant battle, so it's not like the place isn't hygienic, but man those flies made it hard to just sit there and enjoy it.
Otherwise, good food, great service. Stay vigilant on the flies and get some more Greek stuff on the walls, and the place will be a...
Read moreAbsolutely loved our supper here! Friendly staff, clean restaurant, generous gyro filling, and a great selection! We had a gyro platter, spicy gyro and falafel, it was all delicious. We were greeted and offered the specials, everything was explained well and we ordered. Less than 5 minutes later our food was brought out to us, about midway through our meal, our server checked up on us, which was refreshing; I am quite the gyro fan, so I've been to every gyro spot I've heard of around here, and this was a first. We were treated well, food was great and this is one gyro spot that I hope stays around for...
