Worst experience of my life. Came there with 6 kids for a friend's birthday party and left in handcuffs because I was " making them feel uncomfortable" Came there not once was I acting beligerant, rude, loud or disrespectful. Paid for 6 kids to enjoy the party, the only day I had off of work in 2 months! Even the lady who rang me up was laughing and having a courgual conversation with me.( Fooled me) Not once that they mentioned to me that I did something wrong. Paid over $200, Went to the bathroom for 5 minutes later I turn around and there are 5 police demanding my name stating the Manager called the police on me because I was making them feel uncomfortable and intoxicated. I refused to give them my name because I know I did not commit any crime. Other than being a African American female in Eldridge Iowa. Long story short I was arrested for nothing! While my kids watched me in handcuffs smh. After obtaining the police report they also lied and stated that I told them I had two guns on me! Unbelievable. 1. Why would I go to a kids birthday party with weapons. 2. Why would I even say that. Knowing it wouldn't be a good outcome. 3 The police NEVER even mentioned weapons to me never asked to search my purse. Wouldn't you think if find where mentioned to the police that would be the first thing they mention? I will be filling a lawsuit against the " fun station" of Eldridge Iowa and the police department. Completely mistreated. Profiled and embarrassment! I called the next day to see exactly why the police were called on me and the manager basically said in a nonchillant manner. "I wasn't here but I did here about an incident" wow! Wouldn't you think if something as serious as guns were mentioned that it would be passed on to Management. And that he would have more information on what exactly occured and how I made them " uncomfortable"? I asked to speak to the higher manager and was simply told he was on vacation but my information will be passed along and that I would receive a call from him. I have yet to receive that call smh. If you want to take your kids out to a birthday party and leave in handcuffs then this is definitely the place to be! And not to mention going there if you are of color with some money and tattoos! Racial profiling at it's best! This is definitely not over and I want answers! If I could give-0...
Read moreThis past weekend while i visited The Funstation with my family I had some every concerning interactions with some of the workers there. Not only were some of them rude but they just had no patience to talk to me about a problem that was happening. For example i went and ordered some food, they said the wait would be roughly 20 mins. So i took my number to my table and sat while my kids played. Meanwhile one of my kids comes over and said these kids were bullying him. When i went to tell an employee about it, they had my talk to a supervisor. I believe his name was hunter…? he has blonde hair and is roughly 5’9. Anyways, While i was talking to him he was being rude and kept having an attitude with me. He said i was being a disrespectful to him because i was upset about some kids bullying my kid for being black and not having the nicest clothes to wear. He kept saying how there was no proof of it, he mentioned making my kids play somewhere else in the park, and then he mentioned to let my kids know to not be so soft. Like who says that to kids while their being bullied. Thats not all, After i got my food he was in the area and i didn’t have any plates. So i asked him if they served plates along with their food, then he told me that he doing something and said he couldn’t help. Which i found weird considering the fact he was standing there talking to this red head chick. Although an employee helped me get situated, then after we ate we left. Not only did me and my kids feel racially discriminated we felt as if our problems during our time jumping weren’t important. The only good thing i have to say is that the food tasted pretty good. I do hope this isn’t a everyday occurrence with the said individual, and i would sincerely hope this gets taken seriously rather than just letting it slip past. Cause this is not what anyone should have...
Read moreMy family's first experience at this trampoline park didn't go so well. As many others have said it's a little pricey and I agree but usually I don't mind paying a little more for my kids to enjoy a couple hours of bliss. Especially during the winter when they can't get outside to play as much.
It started well but ended with my 8-year old getting overly attacked by a teenager in the jousting pit. This kid hit him so hard that he knocked him off the beam, his face had looked like it had been slapped by a hand and the older kid continued to hit him after he fell off the beam.
I understand this happens, and I had watched the same older kid acting recklessly throughout the entire park for 45 minutes up to this. My problem was that the jump patrol did nothing about him. At the jousting station, the jump patrol are supposed to line up fair battles between kids of like sizes and ages, this wasn't happening. After my son was hit the MOD asked if he was ok but didn't do much else. I asked the jump patrol at jousting if he saw what happened, which he did, then asked if there should be consequences, which he replied that he "has no authority" to enforce proper behavior. Needless to say, I wasn't happy with the security and safety of the younger patrons at this facility.
Our near $50 investment was ruined, my kids time was ruined, nobody was happy when we left and we will not be going back for a long time, if ever. Parents, this place is cool and kids can absolutely have a blast, but be aware and keep an eye on your kids while...
