China Wok — Restaurant in Elgin

First of all let me say that I'm originally from Chicago Illinois. Chicago is a den a hub of delicious food recipes and all types of you know Delicacies. So when I came to South Carolina I was surprised to find out that the food is not so great you have to really search and find a great place if you want to have delicious spice tasty food. So in my search of great Chinese food I came across the Chinese Wok by random and come to find out their food was very comfortable and reminded me of all the delicious food Chinese food that I could get in Chicago. The place is small but you can dine in. But most importantly the food actually has taste is spicy that sweet that's hot and they serve it with a smile. I would recommend this place if you want to get delicious Chinese food. If you want garbage go somewhere else but if you want something that's going to be really good this is a nice place to go to try it out. And trust me for a person that comes from Chicago to give high praises to a restaurant in South Carolina like this it's a big deal so try it out, you'll be very...

Overall it was okay but not anything that would brag about and it wouldn’t be my first choice. So update on this restaurant and sorry it won’t let me make a 2nd review. After eating there a few more times I noticed a slight decline every time I ate there. They are never busy so they don’t have any excuse not to have good fresh food. The last time I went there I thought I had went crazy because my food tasted like it was washed and soaked in bleach. But the other 2 people with me said the same thing about their food. Really good service. Due to covid they took our order through the door. Our food was ready in about 10-15min (4pc lemon pepper wing, chicken w. Mixed veggies, Shrimp w. Mixed veggies and Wonton Egg drop soup). Everything but the the wings were really good. Not saying they were nasty, they were just fried hard & salty. We called around 8:45. Google said they closed at 9, their website said 10:30, but when we called it was 9:30. Although they have adjusted hours posted at the restaurant, they still don't match, so just call ahead for their closing hours...
