Kathy's Kreations Market — Restaurant in Elizabeth City

I have been here 4 times. Twice for lunch and twice for breakfast. We had a party here one time and the service was great for the big group we had.

The lunch food to me is OK (my friends and family really like it but it is nothing special to me) but the breakfast sets them apart from other sandwich shops in the area. I love their breakfast options that I have tried. I loved the sweet potato biscuit (bacon,egg,cheese) and buttermilk biscuit (bacon,egg,cheese). My family member loved them both as well. Other options for breakfast are gluten free scramblers, smoothies, fruit cups, hash brown patty, cinnamon rolls, toasted sandwiches, croissants, etc.

I prefer to go here for breakfast over most other places within 15 minute driving distance. We have called in our breakfast order and picked it up before. Breakfast is from 7am to 10:30am. It is really a grab and go breakfast but this last time we actually asked if we could sit down and eat it. The restaurant part is actually darkish in the morning since like I said it is not a sit down and be waited on breakfast restaurant. They said yes and I asked for water and we got the big styro cups with lids.

Great service here. Everyone is always friendly.

We have bought dessert here as well. We prefer their cupcakes over the rest of the desserts (pineapple cake and cookies and cream cake were not our favorites). The brownies are great as well.

Ordered some desserts for Easter only a couple of hours before closing, and staff had everything packed and ready to go. I was a little worried when I saw the plastic wrap and was told they did that to keep it fresh longer since we were eating it on Saturday and not that day. I was wondering if it was not that fresh already, WHY? Silly me, I've never had anything but fresh desserts from here before. Of course, when we opened everything up on Saturday, it was fresh and so delicious as usual! Kathy's never disappoints, whether it's desserts or a take-home meal or a quick chicken salad to go, it's nice to have a home-cooked alternative to go to, other than a fried chicken place or the usual...

Although I am sad the restaurant portion is closed, I am thankful for the other options available. You can call in your order and either walk in or use the drive through. You can always go inside and order. But I am most appreciative of the pre-made lunch options. My favorite is the grilled chicken over half and half. However, the chicken salad crossiant was calling my name today. I was also excited to see the 1/2 gallon sweet tea, unsweet tea, and lemonade drink options.
