The Meadows Original Frozen Custard — Restaurant in Elizabeth City

2 days in a row. Had to bring both daughters here since I brought only one daughter here yesterday. One chose the gelati and the other chose the cookie dough vanilla custard. I did the same smoothie that I did yesterday. Delicious!

Second impression was just as good as and or better than my first impression. Daughter was sad because the last day of kindergarten. Took her to the playground and brought her here to cheer her up. 2 really nice young employees suggested Italian Ice for my daughter, so she got the strawberry lemonade Italian Ice and I got the strawberry raspberry blueberry pineapple smoothie. My daughter and I loved it!

2 months prior, Really good first impression. Walked in to order birthday cake. Had to fill out a cake form (small little paper). Small, medium and large are the options for cake sizes. Young lady cashier helped me to fill out the form. They said I could pay today or when I pickup the cake. They need 2 days to make the cake. Can come and pickup anytime after 12pm since they open at 12pm. Decided to get a chocolate fudge swirl custard and brownie bites for my daughter and myself to go. EXCELLENT Customer Service!! We ordered a cake for my mother-in-laws birthday. Due to the predicted snowstorm, we thought it may interfere with being able to pick the cake up on the scheduled date. However, to our suprise, an employee named Q from The Meadows called us on a day when the store was closed for business. He said his manager had asked him to reach out to us to see if we wanted to come by the store and pick up the cake early, even though the store was closed that day for business. Q came into the store on his day off to make this happen. He was so friendly! This is going above and beyond in providing excellent service, and it is greatly appreciated! This place has THE BEST frozen custard! And many other treats including sundaes, Italian ice, milkshakes Serving size is extremely generous and the price is right. I love the Gelatis too that layer custard with Italian ice fruit flavors. The people who work there are friendly and happy to answer questions about the menu.
