Hamza & Madina Halal Food — Restaurant in Elizabeth

I visited Hamza & Madina Halal Food at Elizabeth Elmora Ave yesterday and ordered a Double Cheeseburger and Spicy Chicken Wings for $18.99—not a combo. I told the worker my order was to-go and asked for the sauce on the side, and she agreed.

When I got home and opened the bag, I realized I had received the wrong food. The chicken wings were missing, and there was something else entirely that I didn’t even recognize. Frustrated, I drove back to the restaurant to get it fixed.

When I spoke to the worker, she immediately acknowledged the mistake, apologized, and gave me the correct order. She even let me keep the wrong food, which was a kind gesture. I also found out she is the only worker managing everything from morning to evening.

As for the food: • Double Cheeseburger: Delicious! The meat was cooked well, and the flavors were great. • Spicy Chicken Wings: Way too salty. I wouldn’t recommend them unless the saltiness is reduced.

Recommendation to Management: Please consider hiring at least one more worker to support her. It would not only reduce mistakes but also improve service quality, benefiting your business in the long run.

STAY AWAY. This place is VERY unsanitary and will steal your money. Placed an order via Uber and was told by my driver that they place was out of stock for half my order, so, since half my family couldn’t eat, I cancelled the order, like anyone else would. UBER informed me that the restaurant would not issue a refund and that Uber could not since the restaurant was already paid. When I called the restaurant, they lied and made up an excuse. I was willing to give them a shot, despite hearing from several people that they have seen roaches when ordering in person. Maybe they need to keep my money to pay for pest control but theft isn’t the way to run a business.

Great joint if you love a clean place to eat with excellent customer service! I stopped by after dropping off my female client as I work for Papa Inc driving people to grocery shopping places or airport or even doctor’s appointments. This restaurant is a must and it is super clean even their bathroom!!! You could almost eat on the floor, that is how clean this place was today when I came in! I ordered a lot and could not finish it all because today it is Thursday and I was fasting (I am a Muslim woman who fasts Mondays and Thursdays. The staff is super courteous, polite and very eager to serve you! Too customer service and I would return if I am in the neighborhood no doubt!
