This place is my go-to for fresh, high-quality, authentic Mexican food. The prices are great for the large amount and the quality they deliver. I have NEVER had bad service at this place. The owners of this place know how to deliver an experience that will keep you coming back. Tonight, I had their shrimp cocktail and their tacos de lengua. I have had shrimp cocktail all over the world, but thos is the best I have ever had! They shrimp were huge, and it was not served with a tomato paste and horseradish sauce. Instead, the shrimp were swimming in a delicious combination of FRESH, CHOPPED cilantro; small pieces of avocado, and a lime juice with a hint of tomato. I will return for this. The tacos de lengua were perfect. Their corn tortillas are not dry pieces of cardboard that some restaurants try to pass off as tortillas. Went here 07/10/18 with a large group which we had called ahead. Didn’t wait very long for our tables to be ready. Then we waited for 45 minutes for anyone to come take our drink orders, By then everyone had gone through their chips and salsa. After another 25 minutes we finally placed our food order. Had a very hard time getting our ONE server to refill any drinks or chips/salsa. Then finally after another 45 minutes we received our food which I had a fajita and it didn’t come sizzling like they always do and you could tell it had been sitting for a while. Our (2) visit was 14 May 2023 during the start of a business trip. Our dishes were Molcajete and Especial Degollado minus the shrimp because of food allergies. It was Mother’s Day and it looked like the guys were trying to navigate with possibility of women being off. One or two staff were helpful and busy. Place is nicely decorated and festive. Whomever has done all that beautiful carving and painting did an outstanding job on the tables & seats. Food was a different taste which the cheese used and that was a pleasure for me.
