The service and atmosphere was fine. However I had ordered a Burrito Charro. It is listed as being a beef burrito with charro beans served with a side of rice. I had also gotten a side of refried beans just to complete the spread. When it had arrived, I was served what could only be described as an abomination. It wasn't charro beans alone, it seemed as though a can of Beanie Weenies was thrown on top of my burrito, water included. So I had a burrito sitting in soupy bean water, consisting of the most bland ungodly beef I'd ever tasted. The beans and rice also had 0 flavor. For reference, after I had left the restaurant, I went to taco bell instead to get a burrito and it had 5x the flavor.
I had eaten at this place when it first opened and a month afterwards. It was phenomenal then. Since, they've opened up their menu options and lowered the quality of what they are willing to serve guests. I would have given glowing reviews for them in their opening months, but now I wouldn't give their food to my family pet.
And the price for a meal for 2, one consisting of beanie weenies and what I can almost guarantee is the same frozen in a bag beef served at hospitals? $45.00. That's with a 5 dollar margarita, 2 drinks, chips and salsa which should be complimentary but wasn't.
I'm not typically one to complain, I've never even written a review before today, but my goodness. This was an experience that ruined the rest...
Read moreGreat food, pricing and service. We were very happy with our portions and the quality of our food. I ordered the grande burrito, my husband ordered the jack quesadilla with chicken and a children's quesadilla for our daughter. Everything had ample cheese, meat and fresh vegetables. Vegetables were tender crisp and not cooked to mush, which we thoroughly appreciated. Everything was seasoned well and presented in a simple yet appetizing fashion.
The restaurant is extremely clean and the tables/chairs are quite nice. The decoration is sparse, but not unattractive. The only minor issue I can see is that table spacing is a bit cramped, as seating is maximized. The menu has plenty of options without being overwhelming and staff are friendly, courteous and attentive. We'll definitely be back, hopefully I'll snag some...
Read moreThis new restaurant located off Ring Road has only been open for a few days and isn't your typical Mexican restaurant. They don't have a large menu, but do offer tacos, burritos, and other familiar items. We went for lunch and found that it's a nice, clean establishment. The service lacked a little. However, I feel this is because they've just opened just days ago and it will improve in time. The food, however, was good, had plenty of flavor, and the portions were average. You should note that unlike most other similar restaurants, the chips and salsa/guacamole/queso are $6.99. Also, there are no fountain drinks but rather different Mexican soft drinks, including Coke, all served in a glass bottle. Overall, it's a nice restaurant worth trying out that will surely get...
