LA CASA DEL TAMAL — Restaurant in Elkhart

I tried this newer restaurant. To start off was with chips and salsa. Salsa very poor. They need a new recipe. Chips appeared to have been made there. Chips were burned. Poor tasting chip. The street tacos were tasty but over priced. When I go to Ayalas they are$1.75, these were $3.29. I also had their best nachos. Lettuce on nachos I think is horrible. Probably to hide the fact that there was virtually no cheese on the nachos. They put some sort of white sauce on top. Looked nice but tasted awful. Worst nachos that I have ever tasted. I was very disappointed. I spent almost $30. I don't think I would ever waste my money again by eating there. Easily the worst mexican food in elkhart a sit down restaurant that serves only bottled drinks. Very poorly done. Save you money from this disappointing place and...

Don't pass this place up. First time trying it and it was fantastic. The salsa was soooo good, and the guac was prepared fresh. The pork tamales were very, very good.
