The service was friendly and prompt but they really screwed up my order. I was passing through, didn't have time to double-check, but when I called I asked for their vegan options and then when I got there I said as long as it's vegan and I kept saying vegan when I made the order and they said yes multiple times. I hit the road took a bite and I could tell something was off. I called back, I asked the staff that answered the phone if their Woodstock burrito has cheese and she didn't know. I knew right away this was a red flag. I really hate I didn't ask if it has cheese but I kept saying vegan and just assumed they knew. There was two people there at the register of who heard me say vegan more than once. I haven't consumed any meat eggs or Dairy in like 14 years. So I'm really disappointed that I took a bite of this. And I literally just did a video of a doctor doing a presentation on toxic and grotesque consuming Dairy is. A long I hate I was in a rush and wasn't more careful when I made this order. Now I'm super grossed out and have a really long drive home with nothing to eat and having wasted 10 bucks for burnt french fries and a burrito with animal...

This is a great local spot to enjoy some freshly made food by a friendly staff and great background music. Ordered the Juicy Lucy and it was just that… JUICY! I am a huge condiment fan and the seasoned ketchup and jalapeño lime aïoli was amazing! Food was hot upon arrival to the table and we didn’t mind waiting as it did not let us down! And unlike some others, waiting for food provides an opportune moment for great conversation and catching up with the one(s) you’ve gone to eat with. Maybe some don’t know how to do that anymore. 🤷🏽‍♂️

The owner came by as we were finishing our food and told us how much they enjoyed seeing new faces and word of mouth was most crucial to their business. Spread the word! Best burger spot in town! Will def be back!

Side note: In a day where authentic people are hard to come by and businesses bend to every whim of the Karen’s, it’s refreshing to see somewhere that stands as this one does. Keep making awesome food and I’ll be sure to come by and check off the dishes as I try them. May not get to the “Bowel Shattering” items… but there is plenty there to try!

My Woodstock burrito was huge and jam packed with flavor. The tofu is very well marinated (unlike most places) and tastes incredible on its own. Paired with veggies, rice, and beans it is top tier loaded burrito goodness that puts the chain restaurants to shame.

It is so amazing to have an array of vegan dish options in Elkin of all places!

The staff here were unbelievably friendly and to the time to guide me through their selections that can be made vegan (by default the green menu items are vegetarian.) If you are ordering vegan just make sure to say no cheese/dairy. Most are their sauces are safe but you can ask if unsure. They also mentioned that they are mindful of using separate surfaces and utensils for the vegan/veg options. One note they brought up is that their chips are fried in the same oil that some meat is so if that bothers you you can opt out of the chips. (Side note: the salsa options are tasty too.)

This restaurant is a great example of how local options can blow away the big chains. And the price was great too! I’ll be back very soon and I’m looking forward to trying a black bean...
