Mexico Viejo Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Elkin

We have ate here a couple of times, but today when we was there I left my husband there cause he didn’t want to come in to Walmart with us. Well long story short he had told the gm when we got there he wanted a kind of drink when we got done eating. Well he asked if one of the waitresses to fix it, remind you he speaks Spanish so he was speaking in Spanish and I guess she had thought he said for free, no we pay for everything, but the whole issue is the way she acted towards him when he had asked to fix the drink for him. Absolutely horrible!!! The top shelf margarita was fruity with no bite or alcohol! Chips and salsa were on par with any half way decent Mexican restaurant. But the beef tacos were super bland!!!!! And the beef fajitas were a joke! Super thin tiny pieces of over cooked beef?? That’s what I ordered, but who knows what it was. I had to ask for tortillas and never got the side of guacamole I ordered( probably a blessing my boyfriend told me). The waitress was not great. I think she knew the food sucked. Dinner for two with one crappy cocktail, $48 without tip. Please...

This place is very tiny. If you sit anywhere near the back hopefully somebody don’t go in bathroom and blow it up. The food was decent, nothing special. Prices are steep. My kids got ACP and it was $15, other plates were close to $20. The service was not very good either. Our waters stayed empty and once food hit the table we never saw our server again. The salsa was good and tasted homemade. Not much good to say...
