Chick-fil-A — Restaurant in Elkin

Traveling from West Virginia to Florida we decided to stop at this place for lunch. We thought how could we go wrong with Chick-fil-A we love Chick-fil-A. Upon first arrival we thought our experience was going to be great. We ordered about $80 worth of food for our traveling family. We dined in right up front near the registers. We were short one sandwich. My husband went to the front counter to let them know. The gentleman goes in the back and comes back to us and says the kitchen said they gave it to you. We assured them that they did not give it to us or we wouldn't be up here. So he says let's go check your order. I would have had no problem showing him our food. However we were sitting at the high top bar tables so our bags are at face level. He began to reach for the bag and stick his face towards the bags like he was going to look in it. Given the pandemic we did not want his face that close to the food. My husband asked him please don't put your head in our bag we will gladly take the items out of the bag and show you that we do not have the chicken. We repeated this twice to him and he completely ignored us. He did not listen at all, and stuck his unmasked face right in our bag on top of our opened french fries and once he did not see the chicken sandwich in that bag he went around to everyone and looked at what everyone was eating. Then realizing that they in fact did not give us our chicken he went to the back and had someone bring it out to us. It was very upsetting that he did not listen to us about putting his non masked face into our food. We never received an apology for that nor did we ever receive an apology for forgetting our food but accusing us of already getting it. It was a very awkward situation I would never go to this...

It really socks that I have to do this because now instead of driving to Elkin from Boonville twice aday to get my service dog her food ( chick fila ) is basically all she eats I guess I'll have to drive an extra 30 min. We've came here for 2 years mostly after lunch and at night and we've never had a problem. Today we went at breakfast and a tall dude came up and told me she couldn't be on my lap and had to be on the floor. I told him she was trained to be up against me to alert me that she wouldn't stay in the floor cause that takes away from her ability to do her job. And he told me we could step outside. I've since talked to a lawyer and learned what he did was illegal and that she is allowed anywhere I am allowed to be. I'm highly disappointed in this chick fila especially since she's one of their best customers. How many people eat it twice a day 6 days a week and if I remember on Saturday that they're closed on Sunday I order 2 extra Saturday night. All the girls at night know her by name and I hope they see this and know why we want be back Also wanted to now she's 15 lb and can easily seat in my lap. This Chick-fil-A is funny. If your a VET,Service member and or first responder possibly both.I wouldn't go here again simply because they just tried to B.S my Husband. When it was time to pay we asked for a military or First responder discount mind,we all have ID's that can verify.The young lady that took our order was sweet and the Maneger on shift must have been lazy or somthing😂.Keep in mind FT.Liberty/Bragg is 2 hours and 30 minutes away...What made it clear that they were trying to B.S us is that the maneger said you have to be in uniform...THAT MAKES NO SENSE...the installation is almost 3 hours away.Your not supposed to wear the uniform unless your working 🙄.To top that off They got the order wrong as well. Your better off going to the one a few exits down.We stoped through there no problems once so ever the food was great! The service was way better They definitely got our order right over there as well.I would reccomend skipping this location, I rather not be lied to by the people making my food🙅🏽‍♀️.
