I was really disappointed a while ago (a year or two? What even IS time, anyway?) when I thought they were getting rid of the place. I live in Atlanta where they’ve been systematically removing every LJS I have access to, and I feared the same was happening here. NOPE! They built it back EVEN BETTER.
I stopped by shortly after they opened one Friday, and the food was the best I’ve ever had from a LJS. This time, I made a promise to myself to never eat their mushy, greasy fish and their diced cabbage roots (called Cole slaw) again. Never. Prices are a bit high for the quality of food, the staff are friendly, and the taste of the cooking oil really sucks! Lord knows where that fish comes from. I do remember many years ago in a different city, LJs was a decent fish...
