Took our kids out to sushi today and was so disappointed in how unhappy of an experience we had. It first started when we were just walking up to the door. A waitress had the door open looked at my husband and shut it in his face. I should have taken that as a hint right a way and left, but we have never had a bad experience there before. Once we got seated they took our drink orders then we waited for 20 mins before the waiter even came to say hi to us. They were not real busy so that was another red flag. Then we noticed our waiter would dissapear for minutes everytime he left the floor.we waited 40 mins for our appetizers and when they came our waiter dropped them off and walked away. We all needed refills on our drinks and he just left our food and disappeared again. When he came back on the floor to do his job he gets paid for he checked on 2 tables right next to ours and walked away.. i was able to say excuse me and he rolled his eyes and head and turned around to come to our table. I asked if we could get refills and he grabbed our glasses. He went over to the fountain drinks and while he was refilling he was chewing out the bussers for not paying attention. Im sorry isnt that your job as our server.. our food finally came in 5 min spirts one at a time. The quality of the food sure wasnt like it use to be. And sitting there waiting for so long had me looking around and noticing all the filth and dirt grime and leftovers stuck under the glass of our table, on the floor, on the windows. We quickly all finished our food and paid our bill and just our bill and left. Sorry but with that lack of service and the servers acting as we were an inconvenience for them. I will not give a tip. She Would not refill drinks or deliver food in a timely matter, she just kept sitting at the bar and talking to people and pretending like she didn’t have a job to do. The sushi rolls were warm when we received them and did not seem fresh. They also took what seem like a long time(23 minutes for 2 rolls). With the AYCE being limited to 90 minutes you have put a time limit on the customer and if that’s the case then the restaurant ALSO has time limit to serve the customer. Our experience was very disappointing and NOT worth a hundred dollars. I noticed the owner come in a sit down at the bar near the door to enjoy a glass of wine and work on his laptop, which is fine I suppose, it’s your place, but I wish there would be some accountability for the servers who are literally RUINING peoples experiences. Looking at our receipt we also got charged $3 extra for a roll even with AYCE, which would have been nice to have been told before ordering this roll that for some reason we would have to pay extra. My husband’s Diet Coke was $4 and my water was never refilled.

Read moreI have been to Himiko several times for dinner, the food and the service has always been great. I've met the owner, amazing guy and the blonde woman at the bar has always been exceptional. Today, I went for lunch for the first time and I unfortunately had the luck of being served by Eduardo. I ordered AYCE as I always do, my first 2 rolls were great then my 3rd roll came out and there was a heavy language barrier so I could not understand what type of roll Eduardo said it was. He was very rude then proceeded to dump my food in the garbage right in front of me and walked away without saying anything. About 20 minutes later (Eduardo in the kitchen most of this time), he came out with another roll. I told him after that rude/strange interaction, I didn't plan on eating anymore. So he decided to charge me in full + the extra charge for the sushi I didn't feel comfortable eating. I left and got food elsewhere. The worst part is, I brought a work colleague who had never been, with me on this lunch so his experience was pretty bad as well due to this interaction.
