We visited Old 33 Beer & Burger Grill, Inc., located in Elkton, Virginia. This has got to be absolutely one of the best hamburger places in the area.
My partner is a vegetarian and had the Hawaiian Burger but substituted the beef patty with a vegetarian patty, it was topped with pepper jack cheese, grilled pineapple, jalapeños, lettuce, tomato, & onion. With a side of sweet potato fries.
I had my favorite, the Rodeo Burger beef patty topped with cheddar cheese, bacon, onion straws, lettuce, pickles & barbecue sauce. Medium, pink inside.
I chose their wonderfully delicious onion rings, which come with a delightful house made, cinnamon bbq dipping sauce.
On my last visit, I tried an Orange Creamsicle cocktail. (Whipped vodka, triple sec, Orange juice, and whipped cream. It was pretty tasty, too.
This restaurant is clean, including the bathrooms. The staff is friendly, accommodating, and attentive.
You absolutely get more than you pay for at this restaurant. The hamburgers are quite large and only cost $12-15 and sides and toppings are generous.
I highly recommend this for a wonderful hamburger place if you're...

The fish and chips had a great flavor and they carried malt vinegar for the win. Sauce cup of coleslaw was curious... Just put a solid scoop on the plate. The fish was definitely fried a little too hard. On the topic of frying the grease needed to be changed. It impacted the flavor and mouth feel of everything fried. The fries had this mealy and frozen taste despite appearing hand cut. That left an otherwise amazing cheeseburger fry appetizer missing the mark. Maybe the waffle fry for the cb app would've been better. Onion rings were beer battered and great thick rings of sweet onion. Again though, they missed the mark because of the grease... possibly.
Kids menu is great.
Milkshake was absolute heaven according to the entire fam.
Bananas foster was executed brilliantly with fantastic fresh fruit added as an extra touch.

Read moreLet me tell you bout this place called Old 33. I had just finished my trip to the Luray Caverns emerging from the depths. Emerging with me was the desire to consume sustenance. I was driving down the road and I see this burger sign. It wasn’t fancy. It wasn’t vibrant. It didn’t scream at me. But I knew…. places like these that lack aesthetic make up in flavor. I entered the premises and was greeted by a friendly hostess. I was served by an even friendlier waitress. I was feeling chicken that day and ordered “The Valley”. Chicken, bacon, avocado, Mayo, lettuce, and tomatoes. I was skeptical at first but it was love at first bite. Chicken was tender and juicy and dribbled down the sides of my mouth. The bacon, crisp and Smokey. The Mayo melted in my mouth with its creamy goodness. The avocado giving it balance. I think I almost shed a tear. No I did shed a tear, internally. Well done, Old...
