We went to the Roadhouse Grill while visiting Ellensburg because we are fans of other Roadhouse restaurants in other towns. This one was a little up scale for a “roadhouse” style. The floors were all carpeted. The decor was fancy by roadhouse standards. We were not given free peanuts on the table as one national Roadhouse chain does. There were no peanut shells on their carpeted floors and the staff even came past with a carpet sweeper while we were eating. Our dinner did not come with tasty fresh baked bread either.

I had the “Tex-Mex” salad. Their menu said black beans, corn, etc., with chicken bits. The chicken bits were good, but there was hardly any black beans or corn. Mostly just lettuce and chicken with a “Caesar” style sauce. It was okay, but not what I expected after reading their menu. My wife had the kobe burger which she enjoyed. They provided delicious looking steamed green beans instead of chips.

The service was helpful and friendly. We waited about 15 minutes to get in. The greeter suggested waiting in the bar but the bar seating was already full. When we were eventually seated I noticed that several tables were empty. I wondered how long we waited while tables sat empty. While we were eating I noticed that the dining area was always about 1/3 empty tables even though I could see people waiting by the front entry. There is an old restaurant tactic to sell more alcohol by having people wait in the bar for a table even though there are open tables in the eating area. I'm not sure if Wing Central is playing that game with customers, but why were people waiting while dining tables sat empty?

On their menu they brag about owning 4 other restaurants in Ellensburg. For a small town that's a big percent of food service.

This business was...

We dropped in just before the start of the Seahawk game! The staff was ready, quickly greeting us and seating is, in a great spot where I could see televisions from every angle.

The staff was great! Did I mention the staff was great?! We placed our order and the food arrived shortly thereafter. Nachos, Wing Central Burger and four flavors of wings. Spicy garlic, 2nd degree, Teriyaki and spicy Thai peanut. All of the flavors were as described by their flavor name and the wings were flavored with the flavors perfectly. The food was great, the service was great and the atmosphere was fun!

I did make one error. I allowed the curiosity of the hell wing, I think that's the name, to talk me into trying it. After signing the "it's on me" waiver, the wing showed up. Deep, dark red, almost mole' looking sauce. I took one bite and the initial taste wasn't real bad....but it worsened quickly. The heat continued to rise for another ten minutes without taking another bite. Two tall glasses of water, two sour cream cups and one blue cheese cup, finally slowed the rising heat. Needless to say, one bite was enough for me!

All in all this spot was on point. I definitely recommend you give it look if you are ever in the Burg!!

I’ve been to wing central multiples time and NEVER had an issue til today. It was very disappointing. Mostly the food! The wings were ok, but very inconsistent in size. My hubby had a 12 piece and most were decent sized, but more than a few were the size of my pinky! (tiny). The garlic parm fries looked and tasted like they were dumped into the basket without letting the oil strain. My steak fries were waaaaaay over seasoned with salt! I had to ask for some with NO salt and those came out overcooked. The lemon pepper dry rub was gross! I’m pretty sure I’ve tasted the same stuff from the dollar store. It tastes like pure salt and no lemon. Had to scrape my husbands wings to get the seasoning off. My daughter’s onion rings were ridiculously over cooked! They didn’t even resemble onion rings. The waitress was pretty nice about it though. But even with a “discount” we still paid $50 for garbage food. Overall service wasn’t great either. We waited about 20 min after getting menus to order, then didn’t get anymore service when business started to pick up. We wanted to order a soda and didn’t get to, but we also did not get refills on our waters or lemonade. I will not be going back unless I start to see great...

The wings & fries are amazing! Super crispy & flavorful. Our first server was amazing & told the other servers to check on us when she left. She cashed us out before her shift ended & was tipped well. The problem was after she left we were ignored. We were there for at least another half hour & nobody checked on us even though our precious server told us we could still order, it would just be on a different tab. After being ignored we simply left. Would definitely give a 5/5 if that didn't happen, but it was blatant & obvious we were still actively enjoying our drinks & food. We even made eye contact with the servers a couple times, but they simply shrugged it off.
