Have had mostly good experiences with this Domino's in the past, but tonight was a bad enough experience that I likely won't return.
When I placed my order online, the app showed 33-43 minutes until it would be ready. After 45 minutes and the online tracker still showed "Prep" I went to the store assuming the tracker was just bugged or that my order would be ready in a few minutes. I should not have assumed this...
Upon arriving I was told they were "really busy" and my order wasn't ready yet. I asked when it would be. I was met with a shrug and a "maybe 30 minutes to an hour". That would have put the total time after placing the order, for carryout, between 1.5-2 hours. I asked them to cancel the order and refund my online purchase since I didn't want to wait that long. I was told they can't refund online orders...
At this point I feel sort of stuck and asked if they could deliver it to me when it was ready. Instead, I was told to call back in 30 minutes and if it was ready then come back to the store to pick it up. Again, not acceptable customer service.
I told them the only acceptable options would be to deliver it, make it sooner, or refund my order. If they couldn't do any of those things, then I would contact corporate to get a refund that way instead. They went to confer with their manager, and as they returned to give me the news, the manager yelled very loudly "AND TELL HIM I AM CORPORATE".
Long story short, they were indeed able to cancel and refund my order even though originally claiming they couldn't. The service was slow, the manager was rude, and almost 2 hours for a one pizza carryout order is sad, especially when the estimate was 33-43 minutes. I am sympathetic with businesses and employees that get overwhelmed, but instead of solving the problem in any way, they shrugged their shoulders and tried to push the burden on me to take care of the issue.
Sad to say it since this location is close to home for me, but I won't be returning to it. At least show some respect and concern for customers when you can't follow through on...
Read moreUsually pretty happy with our experiences with you guys as my family orders pizza quite a bit from the Ellettsville location. Unfortunately for our order last night that was not the case. We did not receive our full order and unfortunately I only realized it this morning when packing my kid's lunch (pizza leftovers yum!) We usually order quite a bit and my regular order of specialty chicken is what was missing. I had been up for the past 2 days for family reasons and I was so tired I barely ate thinking I would just have the chicken today. I know I should have said something about it yesterday and nothing can be done now but like I said I just noticed this morning.
I verified via the online account that I did in fact order the chicken just to make sure, as I had been up for 2 days.
My point is I understand accidents happen, just a suggestion that whoever is packing the bags may want to run through and double or triple check the orders before they are loaded. Everything else was fine. Thank...
Read moreWhen I found out that we were getting another pizza joint in Ellettsville I was a little upset. We have a lot of pizza and Mexican food so I was not very thrilled. However, when I stopped in and took advantage of one of their MANY coupons they have, I am hooked now. I stop by every couple of weeks and get a couple of large pizzas for my family for a VERY reasonable price. They staff is always very friendly and the pizza is always perfect.
Only thing stopping them from getting a 5 star is that when you order anyting other than a pizza in my experience it is not very good. I have tried the hot wings, pasta and breadsticks and they are not really the best. However I do not blame this specific location for that I feel it is most likely the product they are sent. But hot wings at a pizza joint are important so I hope in the future they make a change.
