Great Korean streetfood place. Remember those K-Drama shows we watched. Remember those delicious foods they show, and how the K-Drama actors eat it so deliciously.
Yes they have those type Of food. Things you always crave for since seeing it in your favorite K-Drama or Variety show. Maybe it’s just me. Anyway, We are starting strong with the portion sizes. You get free banchan as well. Banchan (side dishes) We ordered a lot of food. Since two families my family and my brother’s family. We ordered, Rice balls- anchovy - only for people with good spice tolerance. Tuna- very good according to my brother.
Dakganjeong - Fried Chicken with sweet and spicy sauce. So delicious full of flavor.
Tonkatsu- huge portion. Very crunchy! You dip it in a tonkatsu dipping sauce. It comes with a side of rice.
Tteokbokki + Veggie Rice ball and Fish cake soup combo- $23.99 a bit steeper than the other entrees but its 3 different things. The fish cake soup hands down my all time favorite. I’m a simple being. I love how clean the taste is. Delicious, simple and oh so good especially during winter time.
Jjajangmyeon with Rice- my brother had this and he finished everything so that means its good.
My niece had udon noodles and she finished all noodles and no complaints there. She loved every bit of it.
Rice bowl with veggies- im not sure what my sister inlaw ordered it looks like bibimbap without the gochuchang sauce. There was a soy bean sauce on the side they gave.
The servers and Ladies were very friendly and welcoming. They greet you so nicely when you come in. It was such a pleasant experience that i would like to back again for another taste of their other foods...
Read moreso thus far I must say every Asian restaurant i have tried in Ellicott City has been very good. Ugane is my latest and I was quite happy with my meal. this was my first time trying a rice ball we had the crab one. I could have just ate this very fulfilling. rice cooked well seasoned well. it reminded me of eating a giant Kimbap. I would come back to this restaurant just to try the other rice balls. we alson had the fried dumplings because I like fried dumplings but these were juicy not over battered not greasy allowing the filling taste to shine. I had for my main dish Dakgangieong which is a deep fried boneless chicken glazed with sweet and spicy sauce. again nicely battered reminded me of sesame chicken but not as sweet and I didnt really get the spiciness of the sauce but that was ok because im not big on spicy foods. very good dish. my friend had a rice bowl i cant remember the exact name of the dish but believe it was the Dolsat dish. it came in a hot bowl and a sauce he had to add. he said by itself the dish needed more seasoning the sauce added a little spice but he needed a stronger kick. but still thought the dish has tender...
Read moreI saw this this place opened during my last visit to this shopping center a few weeks ago and I looked up the menu and knew I wanted to come back to try it out. I went a couple days ago after being sick for a few days and really wanting some manduguk (dumpling soup) so my husband and I went and we ordered the soup along with the bibimbap and the dakgangjeong (fried chicken in a spicy sauce). The portions are plentiful, this was more than enough for the two of us to share and we even brought some home.
The service is great, we were greeted when we walked in and told to sit wherever we wanted (there were only a couple other tables at the time, but it quickly filled up after we sat) and brought us menus. There were only two people in the dining area working and they were both very friendly and came around often. We didn’t wait long at all, got some banchans (sides) and our meal came soon after, either by server or robot! The food was very fresh and hot. Everything was delicious and I want to come back to try more dishes.
When the server brought our check, we also each got a Korean yogurt and that was...
