Went today specifically to take my sister for the fish and chips. I’ve had it before and it was delicious, as good as what we’ve had on Cape Cod. Well we ordered off the menu and when the food arrived it looked wrong. That’s because it was catfish! I pointed this out to the server, and was told that they don’t serve cod anymore. Well it’s still on the menu! I was so embarrassed that I brought my sister to an establishment that would serve you a substitution without notifying you. I told her it was a nice place. My sister even ordered a piece of cheesecake, and it was stale and cheaply made. To top it off the server accidentally added a generous tip on my tab and it was gonna be too much trouble to fix it. Give me a break!
Oh and in response to your reply I messaged you on a private message That was not a Facebook post But now you have shown the public your I professionalism You absolutely did not offer to take it off my ticket, the server asked if I wanted something else. But at this point we were starving . I shouldn’t have had to pay full price for a substitution. Your menu clearly states that the fish and chips is cod. Cod and catfish are not interchangeable! The server says you haven’t had the cod since right after you opened but it’s still on the menu and the servers are not telling the customers. A reputable restaurant would have apologized and discounted the meal. My son was a restaurant manager and he always took care of his customers. What happens if you run out of steak? Are you gonna serve a hamburger patty and expect them to pay for it? You do not care if your customers are happy You do not provide any level of professionalism or customer service You advertise one thing and then replace it at will and then expect people to pay for it. I never leave a bad review, I just take my business elsewhere But in your case I made an exception
Oh and btw! Logan’s Roadhouse in Hattiesburg has fish and chips. Lo and behold it’s made with cod! Imagine that! And it’s delicious! So if anyone out there is in the mood for real fish and chips,...

We recently dined at a charming spot that truly delivered on flavor and experience. To start, I ordered the Mardi Gras Po-boy, which featured a delightful combination of shrimp and andouille sausage. Each bite was a treat, bursting with juicy shrimp and the rich, smoky flavor of the sausage. The fried jalapeños added an exciting crunch and a touch of heat, while the caramelized onions brought a lovely sweetness that beautifully balanced the dish. It was a fantastic rendition of this classic sandwich.
My son opted for The Biloxi, which came with crispy bacon and root beer BBQ sauce. The combination of sweet and savory flavors was a hit, and the crispy bacon provided a delightful texture that complemented the dish perfectly.
My husband's choice, the fried fish, was fried to absolute perfection. The fish was golden and crispy on the outside while being moist and flaky inside. It was seasoned just right, making for a satisfying and flavorful dish that left him wanting more.
We also ordered the kids' chicken nuggets and macaroni and cheese for my daughter, and she thought it was yummy. The nuggets were tender and juicy, paired wonderfully with creamy macaroni and cheese, making it a classic kid-friendly meal that pleased even the pickiest of eaters.
To top off our meal, we couldn't resist the cinnamon roll cheesecake for dessert. It was decadent and indulgent, with a creamy texture combined with warm cinnamon flavors that made it a delightful ending to our feast.
The restaurant itself is nestled in a unique building that showcases a wonderful antique culture. The ambiance adds to the dining experience, making it feel special and inviting. Additionally, our waitress was so sweet and very helpful, ensuring we had everything we needed and contributing to the great service we received.
Overall, our meal was fantastic, highlighted by amazing food and an unforgettable atmosphere. We can't wait to return and try more...
Read moreEdit: On a second visit, I decided to reduce my rating to 2 stars based on the wait time, 1 hour and 25 minutes to get the entrées from the time we ordered. The manager should decide to stop seating customers once the wait time for food reaches one hour. It was also freezing. We placed our order at 5:30pm and at 6:45pm, we are still waiting on food. After watching others who arrived after us continue to recieve food, we will never come back again.
Original review: The food was very good. My ahi tuna BLT was cooked just right. Seared on the outside and red in the middle. The onion rings are excellent, the flash fried brussel sprouts are delicious. We didn't have to wait for a table. However, there was a long wait for our food, about 45 minutes. Jumbo shrimp is small, more like medium shrimp. Our waiter was nice but he was a little overworked so he didn't visit us as often as we would have preferred. We arrived at 6:42pm and the restaurant closes at 8pm, but we were still waiting to have the check picked up at 8:20, so we couldn't order desert even though we arrived early enough that we should have been able to order it.
Like the new decor. We will be back, but maybe at 5pm when they...
