I am not a picky eater and am generally grateful for each and every meal. But..... My experience at Sonic in Ellisville was not pleasant. I ordered the 3 piece chicken strip meal that came with tots, an onion ring, and "Texas toast". For a drink, I ordered a medium Coke and a small caramel shake for desert. The illustration on the drive-up menu and what I received for my $11 barely resembled each other.
For starters, the illustration had a generous size dipping sauce included with the meal. The advertisement even exaggerate the words "now with special dipping sauce", or something to that effect. Well, when my order arrived, there was no special dipping sauce or any sauce for that matter. The "hop" did offer me some ketchup packets. I accepted with a smile as the kid handed me two ketchup packets and one mustard. The packets looked as though they had been carried in his pants pocket for a few days. But, ok... It's not that big of a deal. So, I proceed on with having my lunch.
When I open the box the meal came in, I was confused for a second thinking I had been given someone else's order. The "Texas toast" was on top but it was merely a piece of bread... Normal sandwich bread... It was very lightly toasted but it must have toasted that morning for breakfast. It was cold, grease soaked, and chewed like gum. But, no problem... It's not a big deal.
I moved the bread out of the way so I could get to the chicken tenders and knew instantly that this was not going to be a very tasty meal whatsoever. The tots, onion ring, and tenders looked as though they were fried in the same 6 month old cooking oil, together. The dark greasy tint on the food was easy to recognize as old/burnt grease combined with over cooking or having the grease way too hot. I will spare you the details but let's just say I was not able to finish the meal.
With lunch going downhill quickly, I just smiled and thought to myself, "at least you have your caramel shake"...
Well, the shake was entirely too thick for consumption with the provided straw. Usually, that's a good thing but not today... It wasn't too thick because of thick ice cream. It was too think because of the excessive amounts of caramel that was added. Making the only way to eat it was to pull the lid and use the straw like a spoon.... It was still very tasty but just annoying to try eat it without getting any...
Read moreI reviewed this place in a negative way after an incident because I felt like I was being challenged on whether they would replace or refund the incorrect order and I feel the need to correct or update my review after I chose to go back and without even asking anything else about the incorrect order being replaced I just purchased a whole new order or 2 orders actually without even saying who I was and lo and behold there was something Roman this order as well but when I called back I talk to the same person that I previously had an issue with how she handled everything and I think then she knew rather than doubt may since she was there for this mistake she was much more polite and offer to replace the entire order. So I will take her up on replacing the entire order and the single sandwich that she said she would replace when she was said should replace a previous incorrect order but she did not for the replace the whole order just the sandwich and that's what I got a little upset about but in all fairness I believe now that she was treating the situation the best that she thought she could and should I will return to have my complete order from yesterday replaced and the sandwich from the day before that is a partial replacement of a previous order and as long as I have no issues today when I return I will leave this review up saying that I think more people should be very honest in their reviews because while I hate to leave negative reviews if things get back enough or I get upset enough I will but I should be just as likely to leave a positive review when situations treated correctly or when there's no situation at all and you just go and get good service which is what I'm hoping for today in which is what I got before either of these 2 incorrect orders I usually got good service so I think all of us should leave positive reviews when that's what we experience since we are so eager to leave a negative one at the 1st mistake of business makes. Rachel has handled this adequately and professionally this time and as a customer I appreciate that and will return and like I said subtracting the previous issue which will be corrected today I have nothing negative to say about the place I have to...
Read moreReally disappointed with sonic in Ellisville! First off when I placed the order the person that took my order was very rude . I said I wanted a cheesecake shake instead of cheesecake blast and they rudely said they didn’t have it which was fine I get it I work in a restaurant business I know how customers can get but I really wasn’t trying to catch an attitude back . He/she never called my order back out or nothing . It took at least 30 mins to get my order which was fine we were having an outing with the kids so it was nice to just have them tell their story’s in the car . Our order finally came I left a 5 tip all tho the person was extremely rude .. Start going through our food realized we had fries missing so I called it in and told them . Well the person ended up coming to the car apologizing saying he won’t let me bring fries out you will have to buy it which we got it with our kids meal.. I asked her who took our order and I explain to her how the person was acting and she told me it was the manger so I’m like okay whatever so I ended up what’s 30 more minutes gonna hurt to wait for some fries .. I paid for my fries and left the girl an 20 tip she was the sweetest person .. I deal with enough rude people at my job I sure don’t wanna take my kids out and pay for it as well !
