The new owners are hurting what was a thriving business for more than 40 years. They need to take a course in marketing and stop changing a business that thrived for more than 40 years with the Jordan family at the helm. They also need a course in how to win friends (customers) and influence people (customers). The new owners are rude and mean spirited imo. There are numerous examples. The new owners do not want customers bringing their own drinks. Allowing customers who wanted to bring their own drinks worked for the Jordan family for more than 40 years. One day I tried to get a drink from their drink machine. It took my money. The owner was hateful about it. She should have apologized and happily refunded my money. That is what Jimmy or Carol Jordan would have done. The new owners are alienating customers with this buy our fountain drinks policy. Last time I went there for ice cream ONLY, none of the drink machines worked. The newbies have dispensed with the weekly food specials--bad move. Customers looked forward to weekly specials. Shall we talk about the mean signs related to customers purchasing a bag to put the food in? If you don't purchase a bag to put your food in and you drop your food, well that is YOUR problem.... and what happened to the trays to carry a food order for people who plan to eat on site? Where are the trays? About the food... smaller portions and higher prices.Add to that inconsistency. Consistency is preparation and finished product are important. Sometimes the onion rings are dripping grease. Other times not. Sometimes the haddock is cooked, sometimes not cooked enough. On a positive note, I've never had nearly raw fried clams at Jordans as I did somewhere else. Imo Jordans cole slaw...
Read moreAlways was a huge Jordan’s fan! Called today asked about what time the grill closed. Got a very rude lady telling me 3 pm sharpe. I asked if we are there before 3 (as we were traveling) would the grill close any earlier? As a cook I know sometimes the grill closes before closing time so they have time to clean the kitchen. I was told…. “Our son is a senior and had a game, that we will not miss, if you show up at three we will not serve you!” I under stand how kitchens work. But how rude and unprofessional for someone on the phone to not only give out that information but also state they don’t care about customers. I chose to not stop by today, or in the future. I know family is important, but if you are running a business so is customer service. I have always been a loyal customer every season, but if this os the new Jordan’s I won’t be...
Read moreIn the 2018 season I have been here twice and both times have had a bad experience. The worst was when both my food (bacon cheeseburger) and my sister's (chicken burger) smelt so rank and spoiled It ciuld be smelt from the other end of the table. The taste was almost chemically. I took mine to the counter and complained. The worker smelt it and said she didn't smell anything off, which was completely impossible! I asked if it was maybe a cleaner they use on the grills and the response was 'we don't use cleaners'. They refused to replace remake or refund. I threw the entire meal out after three bites. Both my sister and I, despite not finishing our food, got upset stomachs from the visit. The worst part was the customer service, and disrespect for my health concerns. I will NEVER eat from here again. !! All since under new...
