Ellsworth Marketplace Deli — Restaurant in Ellsworth

The pizza here is as good as a solid restaurant offering, provided it's fresh. Of course at any by-the-slice place, that's hit-or-miss. There's a little restaurant inside that makes the pizza though, so while I haven't checked, I'm pretty sure you can have one made for you if you ask.

Don't get my three-star 'service' mark wrong, the staff here are nice, friendly and helpful. But service includes the gas pumps, with which I've had issues more than once. They're not alone in that; I think it's Shell's pump software that has issues because I've had problems with nearby Freshies pumps too.

Specifically, when using fleet cards to refuel work vehicles, there's a good chance that it not only doesn't work but trips the fraud protection, shutting down all the cards on that account on the bank's end until somebody high up in the company can call them and sort it out, and of course all the drivers are freaking out because they're miles from home, low on gas, and can't fill up.

Again, I think that's a problem on Shell's end, not something local to this store, but it does happen here, as well as occasional frustrating difficulty fueling my personal vehicles with my own card, for which reason I haven't gotten fuel here (work or personal) for the past few months.

So: Come here for the food, especially pizza. Fill up somewhere that doesn't have...

Pizza has always been the best from here and a good price as well as some other things amd the new staff is friendly always been a local here however!!! They need to realize this is a quick in and out place when a customer comes in you put your phone conversation on hold!! You don't make us wait and you definitely don't make us wait while you play on your phone... that should be obvious to anyone. I like the people who work here but the 1 star on service is because when I go to a convenient store it should be a quick in and out I don't wait on you......

This place has a kitchen in the back of the store with the option to dine in. My wife and I drive from bangor to have the best omelets and corned beef hash, made exactly as requested cooked to perfection.
