Ellwood Ice — Restaurant in Ellwood City

Ellwood Ice is absolutely amazing!! I love the ice! You get a huge amount! But what makes Ellwood Ice so great is the family that owns/ runs it! They are absolutely amazing people! They treat everyone like they are family! I have read reviews where they say they treat everyone like family and they don’t but here they honestly do. I was there one day and they were busy like lined out the door busy and there was a short wait. As I was waiting I watched how Lauren treated people. I wanted to see if she was as nice to everybody as she seemed, and she truly was! I’ve worked retail and even though she was so busy she still treated everyone like she had known them forever and they were the bestest of friends!

I also want to recommend having a party at Ellwood Ice! Want to talk about stress free! I couldn’t believe it was so easy! I also couldn’t believe how incredibly clean everything is! Lauren went out of her way to make sure that my son’s needs were met.

Great portions, prices and people!

Can’t say enough good things about this home town shop! They do different themed shaved ice and drinks and they give back to our community! When I found out they had flavored boba lemonade too, my life was complete! It’s a great price and it now saves me the trip to going to New Brighton for it! I can’t wait to go on a Wednesday now when I need a midweek pick me up! My daughter loves their shaved ice and there’s so many flavors and different toppings to choose from! Portions are very generous sizes and the owners are always so friendly and in a good mood.

You can tell when a business owner loves what they do. The atmosphere, welcoming staff and clean storefront greet you when you walk through the door. Their giant menu on the wall is intimidating but ask for suggestions, there’s a million ways to make your ice your own. I got Strawberry Pretzel Salad ice cream with an ice berg sized shave ice on top, flavored with cheesecake and topped with glitter. Because if you can get glitter, you gotta get it. Matt got an Italian soda with cream and Rivell flavor; sour apple with blue raspberry. He almost finished it before I got a photo! We will definitely be back once it’s not freezing...
