Pizza was good, but they have some oddities to work out.
This is a new pizza place in Elma Washington. I was curious to try (not really any good pizza places in Elma - population under 4,000) ordered take-out on 2/18/2019.
Placing the order - I walked into the building - huge space, a number of tables - but no customers. There were 2 people working - the gal at the front counter, and someone in back making the pizzas. The gal was friendly, told me my order would be ready in 30 minutes - so I went and did some shopping after ordering. When I returned 30 minutes later, my order was ready to go!
I ordered one 18-inch "Cowboy" pizza (Pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, onion, green pepper, black olives, red sauce) and one 18-inch "Chicken-Bacon" pizza (chicken, bacon, onions, fresh tomatoes, garlic white sauce)
The Cowboy was good - your typical "Supreme" pizza. The Chicken-Bacon pizza was a little disapointing. It's supposed to have a garlic white sauce - but it tasted like there wasn't any sauce. It also didn't have any onions on it.
Oddities: 1) Both pizza's were sliced very unevenly. Pieces were either REALLY big, others were quite small (see picture). 2) They offer 12" and 18" pies.... nothing in between. They need a "medium" size. 3) The cheese doesn't "seem right" especially on the "Chicken-Bacon" - seemed like a sheet of cheese encasing the pizza. When reheated in the microwave it didn't really want to get melty - just hot. (Inexpensive cheese with lots of potato starch and/or cellulose? Who knows).
Don't get me wrong - it was good tasting pizza with an interesting 'fluffy' textured crust!
Since this is a new place, I'm hoping they'll get their act/product ironed out. I'll definately try it again - after they've been open for a...
Read moreMy best friend and I ended up at Cascade Pizza after our car broke down on the freeway on our way back from Ocean Shores. We walked there, tired and stressed, and the moment we stepped inside, Sarah instantly greeted us with warmth. The owner also came over right away to check if we were okay, which immediately made us feel cared for.
We sat down, and Sarah—who is also the manager—took our order. The owner himself brought out our pizza, and wow… it was some of the best pizza we’ve ever had! Absolutely delicious. The service was beyond anything we expected. While we waited for my brother to arrive with my dad’s tow truck, they made sure we were comfortable the entire time.
We got there around noon and didn’t end up leaving until almost 4 p.m., but they never once made us feel rushed. Sarah kept bringing us cups of water and even a big pitcher of ice water. They constantly checked in to make sure we were okay. At one point, a kind customer even offered to let us play music using his credits.
They invited us to sit in the back area near the bar, where there’s a couch—I was so exhausted I ended up lying down for a while, and they were completely understanding. It truly felt like they went above and beyond to make us feel at home during a stressful situation.
Cascade Pizza is more than just a place to eat—it’s a place with heart. The pizza is incredible, the drinks are great, and the people are even better. This business deserves way more recognition than it gets. We will absolutely be back to visit, and I highly encourage everyone to support them. They’re definitely underrated, and after one visit, you’ll...
Read moreWe stopped at this pizza restaurant as we were passing through and we're glad we did! When we pulled up the parking lot was empty and we were a little hesitant to go in as it was around lunchtime on a Sunday and where we're from, that's not a good sign for a restaurant. The inside atmosphere wasn’t anything spectacular but it was clean. I did have to take my son to the bathroom while there and it was very dark to where I had to use the flashlight on my phone for my son to feel more comfortable going into the stall. It would be nice if they had at least like a motion sensor light in the stall. The menu options were great and they offer fountain drinks or cans/bottles which is nice if you're on the go. We got my son 2 slices of pepperoni pizza and were shocked at the size of the slices when we opened the box. One slice was about the size of my 6+ ft husband's adult hand. We also got a whole garlic artichoke chicken pizza. I usually dislike the crust on pizza but this crust was 50000 good. It wasn't very dough-y or thick, the bottom was crispy but not too crispy and almost looked fried (I'm pretty sure I tasted butter and I'm not at all mad about it). The gentleman working said anything with the white sauce is his favorite to make so I'm pretty sure you're guaranteed to get something delicious with white sauce on it. My son did say his regular pepperoni pizza was also delicious though. Both employees that we encountered were super nice and friendly and helpful. They also sell dessert like chocolate and cakes! I'm saving this place for our next trip to Washington. Thanks for the unexpected treat on our...
