The first time there I was on a walk. Got a combo of 2 street tacos and Shaved Ice as the drink, which was really good. Tacos were well made and had nicely seasoned meat and toppings. The shaved ice I got both times Ive been here now was fantastic as the first time Ive ever had shaved ice. Didnt melt very fast on an 80+ degree day, the ice itself had a nice flavor and once it melted, having the ice with the melted "juice(?)" tasted like poprocks with liquid lol The staff were nice, easy to talk to, and friendly. Run by around 3-4 people by my count. Food didnt take long to make at all given the staff size, and none of the food Ive got seemed rushed, it was all very well made. Has a drive-through window and nice outdoor seating area with shade and fans, pretty comfortable chairs Really nicely sized menu as well, looking forward to many more visits and trying the majority of whats on the menu Photo of menu taken 7/23/25

Met some clients here to give them their Wedding photograph’s. I always try and find the mom and pop places to eat because they are the best. This was a Tuesday and as you know Tuesday’s are made for taco’s. Noticed on the menu they had street taco’s! We all got them and they were fantastic. A little light on the Ingredients but nonetheless we’re awesome. What made it an even better experience was the desert choices. From cake pops to ice cream, you won’t be disappointed! The chocolate milkshakes are one of the best I’ve ever had in my 53 years! Located close to a school so at the right times you can watch the kids practice football right next to you! Very cool place! The owner noticed us as new unseen faces and started talking to us. Very nice man and was very interested in how we come to find this place. I’m here to tell you if we are ever back in Elwood we will definitely be making a stop at Lydia’s!

the peanut butter shake is delicious with real peanut butter. the chocolate malt could use more malt but was still delicious. strawberry was also good. everything in plastic instead of Styrofoam so at least we can recycle. although I would prefer something compostable.

Absolutely in love with this lovely little place and the location's long history connected to the community. They are a tad bit slower due to only having a smaller staff as a small business, but they still beat out the fast food options in town from order to completion. I mean can you even get a milkshake at McDonald's anymore? I got a delicious s'more's shake which was amazing! The pulled pork nachos was delicious as well, I love their bourbon bbq sauce. I sat down at one of their tables they set up and enjoyed my meal while enjoying the wonderful weather. Truly a...
