Otto's Tavern — Restaurant in Emlenton

Over the years, I have heard great things about Otto’s food and have seen delectable photos. I was in the area and needed to grab food to go for my family. I ordered a variety of things to try (went on a Monday, not a day when they offered their fresh pizza dough otherwise I would have got pizza to try too). I ordered enchiladas, tacos, sub (maybe Italian, mozzarella sticks, gyro, and loaded fries. We all shared everything so we could taste it all.

Overall, the food was good and I loved that they offered a lot of homemade items (tortillas, taco sauce). I do not think this food would be food I would ever crave and I don’t want to run back and try their food again right away. I do think I’ll eat here again, because the food was good, just didn’t meet my expectations and I have had much more flavorful food. My husband and I knew right away that this place was going to be excellent just by how sweet they were on the phone while we placed our order. We are from Central Ohio and are staying at the newest AirBnb in town. The lady recommended that we got the fresh dough on our pizza since it was made fresh today, so we did. Oh my goodness — AMAZING food. Especially the steak pizza. We have had plenty of great pizza, and this topped the list of favorites we’ve ever had. The owner Holley, was the one my husband talked to on the phone and spoke with when he picked up our order. She was so polite and was thrilled that we were visiting from out of town & picked her place. She even took a picture of my hubby to send to the owners of the Airbnb! Friendly staff! Good Food if you're craving classic bar fare.

Many local favourites still on offer are just as you remember them years ago.

The place however, has changed. It's not the seedy dive bar it was twenty years ago. Haha.

Otto's is still a bar, but a much cleaner, friendlier one with better food and a better crowd of people.
