DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. If you do go.... keep your receipt, don’t tip cash, and monitor your bank.
We went to eat there (food was good, service was regular and timely) and our bill came to 34.03. We tipped 8$ in cash and crossed out the tip line on the receipt so no additional money could be added.
We cashed out with the manager at the front desk and left. The next day had a withdraw from el Cazador for 42.55 in our account. Our bank told us we had to handle this with el cazador.
We went to el cazador that morning and spoke with the same woman who cashed us out and we questioned as to why this happened and she said to give her ten minutes while she talked to the bank. She spoke in Spanish through the entire conversation with the bank. She ultimately reported back to us that they did charge us an additional amount and offered to give us the 8 dollars back to us in cash or on our card.
Great! We got our money back! We filed a report with Englewood police (who obviously realize this is an extremely petty crime and there are no other reports)! But this is a slimy business that got stingy and complacent with stealing from their customers. I encourage anyone who this happens to to file a e report, this place needs audited. When we told the manager we were filing a report she tried to encourage us not to. If you do the math they could potentially be taking thousands of dollars every month from customers that is conveniently being deposited to a bank outside of the United States.
Dirty ass business. Don’t do it.
Sorry for the rant. I don’t do negative reviews ever! I’m okay with horrible service, uncleanliness, bad food and anything else under the sun- but I don’t do immoral businesses. ESPECIALLY local small businesses that depend on their community to keep them in business. Why take from the hand...
Read moreAbsolutely TERRIBLE. I never write reviews but I need to keep others from wasting their money here. You won't get what you ordered, and what you do get will be terrible.
Very SLOW service. 10 mins before anyone even said hello.
UNSANITARY! Bar service sink is leaking, and a large amount of grease has collected and mold has grown under the sink. Disgusting!
TERRIBLE drinks! Margarita I ordered (after being at the bar for 15 minutes) was like cough syrup. Website says that margaritas are 30% off on Sundays. This is not true.
INEDIBLE food! Ordered carne asada. Cheese quesadilla and grilled green onions were missing from the meal entirely, having been substituted for chopped onions. Worse still, the steak was badly overdone and heavily salted. Eating its was like chewing on a strip of leather that had been soaked in ball sweat. Truly inedible.
I would have sent everything back, but I realized that any cook who was willing to tolerate such unsanitary conditions and send such a terrible meal out to a customer probably wasn't capable of doing any better. I just wanted to leave.
Even paying the bill was a pain! I should have walked out without paying. The bartender never came back to swipe my card, so I just left a $20 bill and walked out. I'm ashamed of myself for paying at all. I want...
Read moreWe attended a funeral Saturday. My husband, who is on the autism spectrum, has severe ADHD, and tardive dyskinesia, found himself in an embarrassing situation. It was very cold at the burial and he could not hold his urine.
We noticed the restaurant and thought we'd stop there for lunch before this happened. So on the way back we went inside, and I carry adult diapers with us, just in case. He went into the men's room to change, and it being empty except for him, I went in to see if he needed any help.
Because we used their facilitates, it was a given we would order lunch there. The younger waitress walked around with a sour look at us, and her arms folded. We were waited on by the men and the other waitress. Btw, don't spray the fajitas to make them stream. It only waters down the refried beans.
Anyway, so they didn't approve of what we did. This is our world now, after 42 years of marriage. Our appetites were pretty well gone; I didn't want to take the rest home. Our bill was padded to nearly $55.00, and I paid without complaint.
Listen, folks. Disabled people sometimes need assistance, and we asked nothing of you. A little compassion would not have gone amiss. Overcharging us forfeited the tip I was planning to pay you. I needed to say...
