Sunlite Donuts — Restaurant in Englewood

I've been going to this little hole in the wall, gem of a donut shop for years. I consider myself a donut conniseur. Had donuts from pretty much every donut shop in the metro area and this place is one of, if not the best, donut shops around! They're only open two days a week and it's a small shop. So plan ahead and come early. Every time I'm in there, they're almost sold out, and I get there before 8:00. The owner is a humble, down to earth guy who always smiling whenever I go there. Coffee and donuts are good. Would improve this review if the lady was friendly which she wasn't--I think it could be her cultural thing where smiling is perceived differently than my own. The place definitely needs more light in the front as when I arrived there, it wasn't welcoming and as if I need to sneak in. I wouldn't stay here to enjoy my coffee or donut-too depressing. It is very sad that I can only give this place a 1 star. It's the only donut place even close to me.

But that's the problem. They are only open short hours two days a week, so most times I'm in the mood for a donut, they're not even open.

And the days I do go in, even getting there by 7am before I go to work, they're already out of things. They don't manage their inventory very well.
