El Sampa Taqueria Bar — Restaurant in Denver

This was the most unauthentic "Mexican" food I've ever had in my life. Our 2 orders of pollo and carnitas tacos came as follows: Warm corn tortillas, bland unseasoned boiled chicken, a blob of mozzarella cheese thrown on top, with onions and cilantro. Tacos had ZERO flavor, no spice of any kind. No joke - Taco Bell tastes more authentic than this did. We each ate one taco before throwing everything else away.

Menu doesn't have any prices listed - not a big deal. We ordered 2 orders of tacos, bottle of water, horchata, and some other entree I can't remember. When the cashier said "$36.50" I said "What?" There's no way that's correct. Even in Denver, that is way overpriced for a hole-in-the-wall Mexican joint. As soon as we paid, she immediately turned around, and everyone in the kitchen started chattering in Spanish and looked at us and started laughing. I've never encountered reverse discrimination, but it was pretty lame and unprofessional.

Pretty sure they don't list prices so that they can charge "at their discretion" depending on if you speak Spanish or not.

Seriously disappointing, and left more confused than anything. Have been to dozens of other hole-in-the-wall Mexican joints and carnicerias around Denver - have never been so openly discriminated against.

This was my first order from them and I didn't really like the food. The menudo is mixed with Hog Maws I think and I don't eat Pork so I'm going to be sick tonight thanks! Please go to GrubHub and add your ingredients on there for customers like me please! Also, the Chili cheese fries aren't the original ones that's made with Pork chili and shredded cheese they're made with some kind of red sauce and my son has never eaten them like this so he didn't want them! Please add this in the notes as well too, because this is false advertising! Carna Asada chili cheese fries are supposed to be pork chili! Oh and menudo is not supposed to be hot and if you make it this way please mention it on the menu! Make two different kinds please! This was too spicy! Menu was easy to read and had plenty of options. I got their asada fries with an horchata. Was really a fan of their asada fries only because they do them different to how I'm used to. Usually carne asada fries come with a crema and guac but I had to order that on the side. But wasn't a fan of their chilli that they put on top. I think I just went in there with a different mind set of how I think carne asada fries should look and taste. Would definitely order some tacos or something else next time.
