El Monchis Snacks. What an incredible experience. I had the pleasure of Interviewing the owner for my Food Channel Wegotgravy. Enid, Oklahoma has serious bragging rights having this Food Truck in our Community.
The Owner Rubi is such a sweet lady, her recipes truly show her desire for great tasting food and community.
Birria Tacos. To start, I'm very picky with Birria. Right away I noticed no grease, no film of grease just beautiful consommé and everything was very hot and fresh. I tried the Tacos first. The tortillas were honestly about as perfect as they could get. Nice crunch, but still had that little bit of chew you want in your tortilla. These were packed with fresh and super tender meat, and very melty cheese. A nice pile of cilantro, and onions, with 2 Lime wedges that were very fresh and full of Juice. The Birria Tacos, easily Best I've has in Oklahoma. 9.3!
Birria Noodles. Rubi brought out a 32oz cup packed full of meat, onions, cilantro, perfect noodles and consommé. I squeezed plenty of fresh lime juice, gave it a mix, it was very hot too. I proceeded to take what looked like the perfect bite, and my mind was instantly blown away. I couldn't comprehend, all the incredible flavors, the perfect broth, the taste of freshness. As I stare at this Food Truck, wondering how these 2 women created this insane magic? My Son came along to film the video, I had to have him shut the camera off so he could try it. I needed someone to share this experience with me lol. He is 21 he took a bite and looked at me and said "Dude..........This is crazy" If you know Young Adults, that is a huge compliment. 9.9! The best score I believe you can get.
The Birria Pizzadilla. Imagine having what you consider to be top tier Birria Tacos then out walks one of the sweetest ladies you've met, carrying a Pizza box? I chuckled and said to Dylan my son, I think we are in for a treat man. I open this box, and see that gorgeous Birria color on the Tortilla Pizza/Quesadilla. Load it up with Cilantro, Onions, and lime and Rubi looks at me and blesses me with this tip. "Dip it in the Ramen"! I smile, and think, she has to be an Angel right? lol. So, of course I'm going to. I'm sitting on this awesome wooden bench picnic style, with this weather wore American flag painted on it. Having this Culinary Experience all I can do is smile as I chew this Birria Pizzadilla. This lady is truly chasing the American Dream. Her and her family have created such wonderful, thought out dishes to share with this community. 9.4!
El Monchis is such an easy decision for me. Any family or friends visiting this is one of the stops that has to be on the list. This is that place, that you watch others take their first bite, and you can't wait to see their reactions. you know they are about to experience that magic you did for the first time.
If you made it this far, treat yourself to something you won't forget. A true tasteful experience.

Read moreExtremely unprofessional. Publicly attacked someone for giving them an honest review, simply because it wasn't positive. You have to take the good with the bad, and DEFINITELY not degrade your name by being a bully on social media. The food was pathetic and that was the reason for the bad review. Their actions afterwards made the experience ten times worse.
You can see that their customers came to the "rescue" by the reviews that were left at the same time as mine. We received messages threatening our family after leaving the review. They released personal information about this customer in an effort to incite violence against them and/their property. This business needs to be investigated and shut down...
