Katy's Pantry — Restaurant in Enid

I order from Katy's pantry A LOT - whether it is coming in to get lunch myself, or ordering lunches for an office meeting - they are close and always a great "go to." Two things that REALLY tend to make this 4star review not a 5 star is that they NEVER label their to go orders. Everything is nicely packaged in to-go boxes, but I have to open each one to find out what they are and try to write on the top, myself, what they are. They could EASILY do that while they are boxing them up since they know what they are filling and it would keep me from trying to spend the time to figure it out. Secondly, when I requested they do that, they seem so rude to me often, when I spend several hundreds of dollars there each month. I mean, sometimes their workers are just not customer oriented and then sometimes I get one that is very nice. Strange... It makes me not want to order from there, sometimes, but they have a great thing in a great location for me, so... they get business. Just take the one step further to be GREAT and you will be mentioned with all 5 stars...

Took over 1 hour for our food which was 2 salads and a half sandwich, standing in line was nearly 20 mins. Three people in front of us and then the 2 people behind us got their food first. When I went to check on our order, the receipt had been lost. As I'm replacing our order again, the receipt has been found. The food comes to our table about 15 mins later and it's not what we ordered. My friend ate his salad but I took mine back. When I got my order back, it still wasn't correct. No apologies but instead a full sandwich was given to me instead of the half I ordered. The lady taking my order was very friendly but she was also having to step away from the register to help train. I will say my salad was okay, it would had been better if my salad wasn't hot- I didnt order any thing hot for my toppings. I paid $25 for this hot mess. May I add, i was asked if I wanted a refund or my food when I went to check on our food. I should have chosen the refund but we were just so hungry. Very disappointed today in the food. I live out of town and was in Enid today so suggested to the friend who went with me, we go to Katys as it has always been my favorite. I also suggested my favoriite menu item, Chicken Tetrezinni. It was extremely dry, totally tasteless, very few ingredients in it, other than noodles, tiny little partially filled bowl. Salt and pepper did not help the taste. The salad was also tasteless & not near the quality of food it has been for the 30 years I’ve been going to Katys. The cookies were ok, but a very thick/doughy cookie, unlike the “originals” i have enjoyed thru out the years. Im not sure what has happened, but it was a major disappointment. I think for almost $15.00 it was completely unacceptable. The only reason it rec’d even a 2 was because the service was just “ok.” Had the food been good as it has in the past, I wouldn’t have cared about the service that much.
