For the most part, the employees at this location are always nice and competent. Every now and then, you get an employee who makes you wonder if they're not under the influence or just downright stupid. We usually go for Blizzards; they're our go-to treats throughout the year. But we refrain from ordering food. Not because it's bad or too expensive. It's because it's almost always wrong. The latest episode: ordered two blizzards, chicken basket, and a cheeseburger combo. It was my fault for not checking before leaving the parking lot but we were missing the cheeseburger side and drink, and the cheeseburger was incorrectly made. There were no sauces for the chicken basket which seems to be the norm when ordering that item regardless of how clear you are at ordering what condiments you'd like.
I did not want to make the drive back to DQ so I called. Employee 1 answered and passed me off to employee 2 after I explained the issue. I explained again, and while employee 2 was very apologetic and took my information for the manager to call back, he wasn't any help and offered no resolution. It's been five days since I left my information, and I've yet to hear from anyone.
I like to give these kids and the franchise the benefit of the doubt; who knows what could have been going on that night: short staffed, uber busy, some other issues but there's no reason for the manager not to return a call.
On the one hand, it's the principle of it all - that I paid for these items so I should get it. But on the other hand, is it worth it to call and complain more about fries and a Pepsi? It's a toss up. So my last resort was to leave a mediocre, 3 star review.
My overall summary: at this location, frozen treats are always great, people area great, food is tasty enough but count on the order being messed up in one way or another. Check your order...
Read moreWent here tonight at 7ish sat in line for over an hour, there were only 5 cars ahead of me by the way, but that's not why I'm writing this review. The person on the register in the drive through was obviously new hence the long wait she forgot one of the blizzards I asked for and asked the person training her, I believe her name was Shakira, if she knew. The trainer then got an attitude with the person she was training and said I don't know you're supposed to. I immediately felt bad for the person on register. I've been in the food service industry from dishwasher to management if I ever saw someone disrespect that person trying to learn like that I would have immediately thrown them out of the building but it doesn't end there. I ordered a Sundae for the kid with strawberries immediately the trainer yells oh my God after that I order 2 blizzards and asked for whipped cream again the trainer complains because you know spraying that whipped cream bottle is such a task. This whole time I'm looking at the sign on the window that says to treat the employees kindly or if you feel you can do better you can apply. How can you ask people to respect your employees if your employees are disrespectful towards eachother and customers. That sign is a complete joke as long as that trainer works there. To answer that sign yes I could do better I've been there done that. I don't even know why I paid for that experience. Especially since when I got my order everything had already melted halfway and you'll never guess which sad of an excuse of an employee/person was the one who went around the corner to make it. PS she's obviously bringing the morale of your entire crew down I've never seen so many people so depressed looking...
Read moreI have ordered many times from this dairy queen. i had come in this past saturday and the menu lights were out after dark, so i could not see the menu. i had been notified that the lights have been out for 2 weeks. i would figure that management could get someone in as soon as possible to fix something like this so patrons could see the menu so they could order. on this occasion, i ordered 3 hot items , 2 being burgers with one order being onion rings and a grilled chicken sandwich. i payed just under 26.00 for these 3 items, 2 meals and an single sandwich. the wait on this occasion was almost 25 minutes in line. i waited almost 10 minutes once i got to the window. i live about 1 minute from this establishment. i figured that the wait is always worth it since i have been here several times in the last couple months. i took my food home once i got it and found no onion rings. the food was ice cold, the cheese wasnt even melted. the buns were so hard and dry that they fell apart taking a bite., the lettuce on the chicken sandwich was brown and the chicken was cold. i had to throw away almost all of the food. i was very disappointed this round, let alone i had to pay 26.00 for this, just to have some fries that...
