I've eaten at 3 different Marco's Pizza places now: 1 in Panama City Beach, FL; 1 in Troy, AL; and now the one in Enterprise, AL. The one thing all of these locations have in common is that they were all fantastic. This review is based on the latest visit.
I hit the wrong button and submitted the review before I was finished. Since then, the owners have replied. Hello! Amazing staff you have here in Enterprise! The gentleman who took my order was patient and informative. The name on my receipt is Casey. Thank you, Casey!
Anyway, I stopped in to pick up a little lunch, so I ordered an extra large pepperoni pizza with extra sauce and extra cheese. If anyone has read any of my other pizzeria reviews, you know that this is my go-to order. If you haven't read any of my other pizzeria reviews, then you, too now know that this is my go-to order. I ordered take out because as I failed to mention before, this was my lunch, probably supper, as well as either breakfast or lunch tomorrow.
It smelled delightful on the way home and on more than one occasion I found myself debating the pros and cons of trying to eat hot pizza whilst driving down the highway. Believe it or not, I was able to contain myself and waited until I made it home. It was still warm, if not hot, but that's okay because that means no regrets on stuffing half a piece in my mouth on the first bite.
Pure nirvana...and I don't mean the Nevermind kind, although they were pretty freaking awesome, too, no matter what my speech professor in college thought. He was a roadie for Metallica back when they were cool, but that's a story for another review. Anyway, back to the pizza...
I ended up eating 2 pieces for lunch and then two more pieces for dessert. I am already looking forward to supper, but I won't review it again for that meal. I suppose I could, but that would be more of a review of my reheating method.
Place the pizza on a baking pan, put it into the non preheated oven, and set the temperature to 250°. Set a timer for 22 minutes. No more, no less. Why? I don't know, but it works for me. When the timer goes off - VOILA! Crispy crust that is still soft in the middle and sauce and cheese that will burn the inside of your...
Read moreDecided to give it a try because this is the only pizza place that delivers to my in-laws address. Horrible experience. I tried ordering online, the site told me to call store to confirm if they deliver to us. I did so, the girl who answered was in a bad mood or just a rude personality. I ordered my pizza and told her at least 2-3 times that I need it delivered and that’s why I was calling in order (since site said check with store). She said okay, like 2 times. She obviously was not listening whatsoever. I finished paying on phone and she said it would be 20-30 min. I was waiting for over an hour before I called the store. I was thinking that, things happen and it was just the driver running behind. NO, It was the rude girl who answered in the first place who couldn’t even say delivery instead of pickup. My order had been ready for almost an hour in the store. I asked the gentleman who answered when I called to get it delivered. I could not leave, I was at a house with two kids and no car seats to come get it. I’m pretty sure they just gave me a two hour old nasty pizza. It was horrible. Just horrible. Hard, cold, and the cheese bread was a joke. You think if they made the mistake that they’d make fresh hot food. Not the Marcos in Enterprise. Just cold. I was beyond disappointed. I will not be back, ever. I’ll stick with the people who know what customer service and good pizza is (Dominos and Papa Johns). I should never have to microwave a pizza that just got...
Read moreI like the pizza at this restaurant but this is the second time the order has been wrong. The first time was by phone and the second time was online. The first time I just made them aware of the mix up and accepted the wrong pizza. This time I wanted something done about it. I ordered a works pizza and got something with no meat, plus it had onions on it which we asked not to have. It was obviously a different pizza. Unfortunately we took a piece of pizza before we realized it wasn’t right. So the manager said , if we touched it, he can’t replace it. I understand if we ate the whole thing and then complained, but we took a piece and realized it wasn’t right. This is the same manager I spoke with the first time my order was wrong, and I think he could use some more customer service training. I’m seriously contemplating not ordering from here again. What’s the odds of getting the order wrong two times in a row? It’s got to be...
