I did dine in without a reservation. We ordered the hibachi shrimp and ask to have chicken added to our fried rice. The waitress was having a difficult time with my request, so I offered to pay extra for the chicken. The rice came out white with uncooked diced carrots no onions or eggs tasting like it was cooked in chicken broth. The soup that was suppose to be onion soup tasted like dishwater and had no onions( scallions) at all. When the main course came out it was a plate full of vegetables and 7 little shrimp not even the extra you get at the hibachi table. I explained to the manager that I have never had the food like this that they do a better job at the hibachi table he brought me the menu and stated that only 7 shrimp come with the meal. I spent $21 each for a plate of vegetables and chicken broth fried rice. See the attached pictures and judge for yourself (the rice is after adding soy sauce). We had to add the full bottle of soy sauce pepper and the ginger sauce to try to eat the rice. The manager made the rice over but the tase of broth was the same only improvement was the carrots were cooked. I will never eat here again. We went home still hungry.

Two things. Firstly John aka Jerome was top tier! Engaging and genuine, loved him. I have been here too many times than I can count. I used to live right around the corner. The first time I actually booked a reservation for 4 for my sister’s birthday and I requested to be seated in front of the chef. I normally go where I’m seated but since I was booking for my sister’s birthday, I wanted to make it special. Well, I got there and was told by the hostess there is an 8 person party. I was annoyed, but whatever I get it, guaranteed gratuity. We sat down and two other people sat in their seats…that’s it. About 15-20 mins go by and the hostess comes back to me and says their party of 8 cancelled. Now even though there’s egg on someone’s face, I still didn’t get my request and she decided to seat the two in front with all other seats empty. The waiters kept forgetting our appetizers, again annoying. The best part was our chef John. And.. we still tipped $100 on a $225 bill ($60 for John and $40 for the staff, staff thank John for your tip) Service needs help. Hey John if you work somewhere else we’ll come through!

Ohjah, I went here with my father and it was amazing! To start we got an order of Shrimp tempura with the assorted vegetable tempura as only broccoli great taste and perfect size for an appetizer 4 shrimp and about 8 broccoli. My dad got the shrimp fried rice which even though I'm not a huge fan of fried rice I thought was great definitely better than the one at Benihana's. I got the Beef Short Ribs which comes out sizzling and delicious with a bowl of white rice or I think you can get brown rice instead. Now as to be expected with a restaurant like this it isn't exactly cheap we got the Shrimp Tempura, Shrimp Fried Rice, Short Ribs, and 2 sodas ended up being $44 now the short rib dinner does included a salad, soup, and rice so it's definitely worth it. Will be returning soon to try the Chicken Katsu as I've always wanted to try it.

I used to live here and would go to Ohjah's multiple times a week so of course when I get back after being away for 4yrs I want to go back. Bad idea! Obviously do to covid they have longer wait times with was expected but since we couldn't get a gill seat do to time constriction we decided to just get a table as the food should be the same, right? Bad decision! The filet was over cooked and had no flavor, the rice was inedible, the vegetables were undercooked and soggy. The noodles were the only half decent thing. I had 3 other people with me. The ribeye tasted like that cheap steak you can find at the dollar store, the sushi was just wrong. The salmon was over cooked and dry. It was just an overall bad experience. If you are a Japanese steak house it shouldn't matter if you sit at a grill or a table. As the price is the same as well. Our bull was just under 180 + tip. And the service was drastically lacking as well. I didn't want to believe that they had gone so far down hill when my friend told me she had a bad experience at this location at the grill when she was given rare cook on the meat and under cooked vegetables along with getting in an argument on this topic with the chef who stated he had been doing it for such and such time and knows how to cook instead of just cooking it to a correct medium rare and cooking the veg longer. But I wanted to go and hope she was a fluke. She was with us as well and got the salmon this time thinking they couldn't mess that up yet they did. Most of the food was asked for a To-Go container as we all don't believe in wasting food and didn't have time to get into it with them after hearing from her how bad it was last time she tried to address an issue. So we took it home and fed it to the dogs. Worse part is the food I did it caused me to get sick. I know it was from there as it was the only food I had ate all day as I knew I was going and wanted to be able to eat all my food. Instead it ended up being barely eaten and what was ate was thrown up all night. I will never be back and I'm sure the same goes for the other 3...

Parent of child at party. I took my daughter for her 8th birthday with her 6 friends, Very well behaved children keep in mind. I choose this resturant as we had been several times in the past. Unfortunately the day of the party showed me why it'll be the last time I'll never give them my business again. First we arrived 20 min early for our reservation, we were seated 10 min early and 1 guest hadn't arrived. They sat us down and said they wanted order before last guest arrived even though we were early. The habachi was by far the worst we've ever had the chef was an older gentlemen who was grumpy and not into it. My kids were more into the other chefs serving other people. I've never in my life been so rushed to finish dinner, without asking me the waitress brought out cupcakes while the kids were still eating their dinner. They did not ask me if I was ready, she lit the candles and came out singing off tune with just herself. Because there was 8 of us my tip was not my choice then the owner came up and said is there something wrong? In the same sentence he told me he didn't need the table but then said if you want to relax and eat come at a less busy time. I was once a loyal company and do were the other 7 parents of the other children, now all 8 couples will not return and we'll make sure to tell others about our experience. I held my tounge until the owner passive aggressively approached me. We sat in the front lobby for 20 minutes after that waiting for parents to come. It was raining like crazy and I wasn't going to have 7 8year old standing outside and I wasn't about to stay after the owner...

I drove a bit out of the way because I wanted to go to a hibachi restaurant with a good rating. The food was decent but what really won me over was the customer service! The hibachi cook was funny. I was especially impressed when I was talking to another person in my group and I was saying I wish I had chopsticks (I made a gesture with my hand as I said it.) Even though I didn't flag her down, or look at her, or ask her in any way, the waitress saw me do this and brought over chopsticks! Overall we had a fun time and all the servers were quick and efficient. Thank you Ohjah!

Like other reviews here suggested, we made a reservation and only really tried the Hibachi. (Though I was happy they had Thai iced tea!)

While we dined, we sat with another party and I noticed they didn't tip the chef. (I only noticed because they saw me tip him and openly discussed whether they should or not, then decided to only tip at the end. Also, let this be a note that if you don't have a large enough party for the Teppan table you might be seated with others!) I encourage everyone that visits a place like this to tip not just the servers as you normally would but to tip the chef as well. Of course they don't ask (the chef even made a joke when I gave it to him) but it's the right thing to do. They cook for you and treat it like a performance, making jokes and conversation, and most restaurants have to...
