Jo to Go — Restaurant in Escanaba

The price was great, and the coffee was pretty good. The design of the shop is very odd with two lanes for cars running on opposite sides of the building, and a walk up. Ultimately it makes the oddly long building function, but it doesn’t seem to be the most efficient as cars in both directions and walk up proceed very slowly. I still rated the service as 4 stars because of the girl who handled our order. The latte that we ordered was almost entirely milk (latte literally means “milk” in Italian, so the irony is not lost on us), and she remedied it with an extra shot. That being said, the service was very slow and not particularly friendly. It seemed that there were only 3 teens (or very young 20 somethings) on the job with no manager, so I give them some extra credit for being swamped on a Sunday with a bizarre system and no manager. At any rate, if you can hit Jo to Go at an off peak time, I am almost certain you will pleased with the service.

Also, and this is not a critique of ONLY Jo to Go because most coffee shops participate in this scam, but please stop charging $1 for a shot of an alternative milk. Those products now cost the same as regular milk, are consumed at a similar rate, and have now moved from fringe behavior to normal. This is obviously...

Absolutely love the boba drinks they are offering here. However, the last two times I've been there there has been excessive wait times. And my boba drink is never the same even though I order it the same every time. It is a different color. Sometimes it has glitter. Sometimes it does not, but even though it they mess it up, it is still a fantastic drink every time. I don't know how that is possible even though it tastes different lol. Love this place! This is my go-to coffee place. They have a ton of flavors to choose from, even sugar and dye free syrups. They also have many types of drinks, from redbulls drinks, smoothies, coffee, frappes, sprite drinks for kids, lotus drinks, and more. They even sell food like bagels, candy, muffins, and cinnamon rolls (which they warm up) 😋. This will always be my sons and I favorite place to go. The girls are awesome at making the drinks.
