Changi g my previous Review of very Good to not so great for more than one reason : 1) THE COOK AND HIS NASTY ATTITUDE AND LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE WANTING TO GO HOME BEFORE PEOPLE WERE SERVED OR ORDERS EVEN TAKEN 2),THE WAITRESS O. SUNDAY MESSING UP MY ORDER SO BAD IT WAS NOT EVEN EDIBLE ( Hint: Maybevthe cook did this on purpose to get rrid of us) 3) WHen I pinyed outvthatvI could not e en eatbthe food and that it was NOT whatvI ordered she did not apologize and take itboff the bill since I never ate my breakfast. 4) Did not ask me if I wanted more coffee after filling my cup half full to begin with or bri g cream and sugar when she asked me if I wanted it and she said she would bring it. 5) Cook and Waitress scurried an elderly couple OUT OF RESTAURANT when it was not yet osing time because they wanted to getbout of their earlier. NOTE: THEY WERE QUITE RUDE DKING IT TOO.!! I WANT GO SAY THATBTHIS WAS ALL IN ALL ONE OF THE WORST EXPERIENCES I HAVE EVER HAD IN A RESTAURANT EVER!!!! Management and Owner needs to know this. But I have to say if that cook and his waitress own this place plrase do 't patronizr this ABUSIVE AND RUDE PLACE. Consequently from the way I was treated. I will never ever go back there again. Country Restaurant and Lounge offers a welcoming atmosphere with friendly service and a menu that caters to a variety of tastes. During my visit, I tried the French toast, which was decent but not particularly outstanding. I ordered the three-slice portion, and the servings were quite large—honestly, two slices would have been plenty. While it wasn’t the best French toast I’ve ever had, it was still enjoyable.

My boys opted for hamburgers, which they liked a lot. However, the fries didn’t impress them, as they left them untouched. While I didn’t try them myself, their reaction suggested that the fries may have been lacking in flavor or texture.

The restaurant itself had a nice ambiance—clean, comfortable, and inviting. The standout aspect of the visit was the service. Our waitress was incredibly kind and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed without being intrusive.

Overall, the experience was slightly above average. The food was decent, though not particularly memorable, but the generous portions and friendly service added to the positive impression. If I return, I might opt for a smaller portion or try something different...

Good neighborhood restaurant/bar. Free poker on Thursday nights. Chicken fried steak is excellent. Karaoke on Saturdays starting at 9. Although i was really scared away from doing my typical rock songs by all the country music. Family owned. The owner even poured my drink tonight after she sang some karaoke. She wasn't stingy with my drink and she seemed like she was enjoying herself immensely. All wait staff we've encountered in less than a dozen visits in 5 months have been awesome. The restaurant side could use an uplift. But its cool. Despite how busy our morning weekday waitress would get she always accommodated us and our toddler. While making us some pretty solid bloody Mary's. Each time I've been here i have had positive and friendly interactions with staff and patrons. Makes it enjoyable to come back. Video poker. Parking. Prices are a little bit higher then the restaurant/ bar i work at on NW 23RD/lovejoy. And they don't have wings! The menu is like 8 pages long with good variety, they offer breakfast all day but no wings. Bar doesn't open up until 11 am or so but the morning waitress will easily...
