This place is fit to be closed. 30+ min experience for 4 (ordered 5) ice cream items in the drive thru. Ordered, read it back, had it right. Go forward, wait 10+ min for 1 vehicle in front of us. Get to the window, charged us for the car behind us, possibly an honest mistake. Sat long enough to get their attention to inform they had things wrong. Another employee comes briefly to try to figure things out, takes card and reportedly has things reversed. We're 20min in, still nothing through the window. Two items come. In a very confused manner ask if we had wanted whipped cream on one of the items (should have cut losses and said no), but we had asked for it. Chaos ensues because apparently no whipped cream is anywhere in the front of house. We get the third item. Kid looks confused, but looks around inside and hands us a fourth item... We wait, he reopens the window and we ask for the 5th ice cream. Window closes, chaos ensues... 2min latr the window opens asking us for another ~$5... I'm so shocked by now that I may have gone viral with my words and mannerisms, but the ineptitude, time spent, and line of cars behind us didn't deserve to be held up any more. God only knows what the folks behind us endured after.
TL:DR never go here. We're patient people, but this is beyond reproach and in hindsight, I think they were legitimately trying to charge us too much...
Read moreI always get the kids a Dairy Queen cake in Eudora for their birthday celebrations. There have been many times over the years I have called at the last minute & needed a cake, and I had to do that again today. A manager assisted me on the phone & patiently listed the many options available to customize the cake. This was the first time I knew they could add a little kit with 3D figures for only $5. Each kit has 1-4 figures to top the cake with, depending on the theme (most of them are popular characters or video games). I already had balloon numbers for the age, so I opted to get a blank cake, and asked them to write Happy Birthday (kids name). As always, the personalization of the cake is at no additional cost, & always looks great. Additionally, they have never misspelled a name, and one of my children has an unusual spelling. All of their frozen ice cream cakes have a top layer of vanilla & a bottom layer of chocolate, so I don't have to choose & it pleases everyone. There is a crunchy chocolatey candy layer in between the 2 flavors of ice cream that is amazing!! It is always a great experience for us and I always appreciate how helpful Dairy Queen is in helping me choose the perfect size & decorations. Thanks Dairy Queen for helping make...
Read morebasically my whole experience here was pretty poor. i ordered a mini s’mores blizzard and a pup cup. she said my total and i pulled up to the window. i had previously been here 1 week before and ordered the same thing and noticed my total was about $2 more this time. so when i got to the window i made sure she rang me up for a mini blizzard. she said “no you ordered a small” and i did not, so i corrected her. they changed it for me and it was still higher than last week. on the receipt i was charged for a pup cup, which i was not last week. so inconsistent. but the real issue at hand was my blizzard. the cashier did not flip it, which they are required to do. and as she hands it to me she said “sorry it’s a little overflown”. this was not the case. it was practically already melted. not thick as their company promises with the blizzard flip. i think she didn’t flip it because all of the ice cream would have came out if she had. i could practically drink my blizzard at this point. big thumbs down for this DQ location. i will not be coming back! the cashiers were friendly to my dog and i, but that was the...
