I have learned a lot about BBQ over the past few years from Terry Black, founder of Super Smokers BBQ and considered by many to be the Godfather of St. Louis BBQ and consider the new owner Jeff Fitter one of my closest friends. I have eaten a lot of each of their BBQ over the years, but always wondered how that would transition for Jeff in to to cooking for the masses in a restaurant. Well, my first visit to SuperSmokers certainly will not be my last. I ordered the BBQ Nachos, a side of burnt ends, as well as a side of home made mac and cheese and I have to tell you that they were each excellent. The BBQ nachos have been a Super Smoker BBQ staple for years, but the brisket in this nachos really seemed to pack a punch and gave the nachos an added kick that was eventually mellowed by the sweetness of the beans. It was the perfect storm of BBQ goodness. The burnt ends were a bit of a surprise, having not always been on the menu in the past, but they are a staple currently. They were like little cubes of flavored meat candy in your mouth. They were so good, chewing was optional, as they melted when you put them in your mouth. Which leaves me to the mac and cheese. This isn't your standard Velveeta Kraft mac and cheese, this is a homemade baked mach and cheese with the right blend of crispy noodles and browned cheese from being baked just right. This is a newer addition to the menu, and one I was familiar with from Phatso's BBQ catering days. It offered the perfect side for the burnt ends......now if we could just get some of the brisket diced up in the mac and cheese.....that would be money. All in all, such a great experience to see Jeff pick up the torch that Terry carried so well over the years. I can't wait to see Jeff put his own touches on the restaurant in the months to come and am already looking forward to coming back and trying the ribs.

Late lunch, early dinner on a Saturday. No waiting for a table. We ordered the pulled pork tacos and brisket tacos, along with my favorite, Pulled Pork Fritos Pie. There are three taco's in an order, they have sweet and tangy slaw, cheese and either pulled pork or brisket. I liked them both, I would be hard pressed to tell you which one was better. I would have liked for them to have been just a bit hotter, otherwise they were great. My favorite was the Frito pie with pulled pork. It has a generous layer of Fritos, baked beans, cheese sauce and your choice of chicken or pulled pork. It was big enough to satisfy a really hungry man! Something about the combination just does it for me, I have a difficult time not gorging the whole thing down. It's that good. It's definitely worth a visit. I recommend the Frito pie.

Came here before going to six flags on 10/10/21. The cashier seemed to not want to be bothered. Several menu items not available at noon on a Sunday. I get there are issues with product supply and staffing issues. The food came out and the brisket was sliced with the grain making a less than desirable texture. No bark at all. The chicken and pulled pork was dry. I feel like it was most likely yesterday's product. Nearly all of the sides are "upgraded" sides...even green beans. My kids had to go to the bathroom and we had to wade through water to get in the stall in the men's. The women's also had a stall that was out of order. With a lot of really good BBQ places around, Supersmokers needs to be careful about losing their fanbase to another competitor down the street. Sorry to say, we won't be back again.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Super Smokers St. Louis is an absolute gem and a must-visit for anyone who loves incredible barbecue and a dining experience that feels like home. From the moment you pull into the parking lot, you’re greeted by the unmistakable aroma of smoky, slow-cooked perfection. Once you step inside, you’re met with warm smiles, a welcoming atmosphere, and a menu that will make your mouth water before you even place your order.

Of course, the barbecue is top-notch—the kind of smoked meats that make you fall silent as you savor every bite—but let me take a moment to talk about the sides, which are nothing short of legendary. They’re not just a complement to the barbecue—they’re stars in their own right.

Let’s start with the mac and cheese: it’s creamy, cheesy, and cooked to perfection. Every bite is pure comfort food bliss, and it’s impossible to stop at just one serving. Their baked beans are another standout—sweet, smoky, and perfectly seasoned, with just the right kick to balance the richness of the barbecue. The coleslaw is a crisp, refreshing palate cleanser that ties everything together beautifully. And don’t even get me started on the cornbread—it’s moist, buttery, and downright addictive. Every single side dish feels like it’s been crafted with as much love and care as the main event.

As incredible as the food is, what truly makes Super Smokers stand out is the owner, Jeff. He’s the heart and soul of this place, and his passion for barbecue and hospitality shines through in everything he does. Jeff is the kind of owner who doesn’t just run a restaurant—he creates a community. Whether he’s personally greeting guests, sharing his barbecue knowledge, or simply ensuring every plate that leaves the kitchen is perfect, Jeff goes above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome and appreciated.

You can tell Jeff puts his heart into every detail, from the meticulously smoked meats to the perfectly crafted sides to the warm, friendly atmosphere that keeps people coming back time and time again. He’s not just running a restaurant—he’s creating a space where people come together over great food and shared experiences.

Super Smokers St. Louis is more than a barbecue joint—it’s an experience. Whether you’re stopping in for a quick bite, enjoying a family meal, or introducing out-of-town friends to the magic of St. Louis barbecue, this place delivers every single time. The food is phenomenal, the service is exceptional, and the owner, Jeff, is truly one of a kind.

If you haven’t been to Super Smokers yet, you’re seriously missing out. This place is a true treasure, and I can’t recommend it enough. Do yourself a favor—go hungry, order everything you can, and prepare to be blown away. You’ll leave full, happy, and already planning...

After seeing such great reviews, we were looking forward to eating at this restaurant. We Opted for takeout due to time constraints and thought it would be a faster solution. We were met with a friendly staff member that promptly took our order.

Our selections included half a pound of Pulled Chicken, that was said to be enough for three people, instead of the pound that we were planning, and a pound of Burnt Ends, which we figured would be enough for at least two with a few leftovers.

We were considering cancelling our order after waiting for 25 minutes, but decided to continue, and finally got our two items of meat after over 30 minutes. To their credit, the staff apologized for the delay and offered us drinks to ease our wait.

Upon receiving our order, we were presented with two small containers that left us somewhat bewildered. We had expected a more generous portion, but we were assured that this was the correct amount. I've attached a photo so you can judge for yourself the quantity and quality of what we received for each item.

Our disappointment continued when we arrived home and further assessed the portion size in detail. We had spent $24 on meat with plans to make at least six sandwiches and we were barely able to make four. This was mostly due to most of the chicken that we received being inedible. I seriously feel like we were given the scraps. The Burnt Ends barely made 2 sandwiches, though my husband did find the flavor commendable.

Regrettably, the Pulled Chicken ranked among the least impressive we've ever encountered at ANY BBQ establishment.

I cannot in good conscience recommend this place to anyone based on our...
