East China King — Restaurant in Evansdale

Looking at these reviews I'm honestly not sure which restaurant they're talking about, as there is one similarly named close by. Best chinese food I've had in a long time outside of nyc! I didnt try the wings I will next time though! I ordered general tos,beef and broccoli, house lo main, shrimp egg fu young and boneless bbq ribs. Due to the reviews I ordered sides of oyster sauce as most bad chinese food can be corrected with just a touch of the stuff! But I didn't end up needing it at all! The woman who took my order was patient and polite, as was the delivery driver!(Hope I did you well with that tip hun!) But yes the beef and broccoli was great with real beef! The general tos chicken was fresh and delicious,the egg fu young was great though I could have done without the peas... the sauce was saucing and came in abundance!🤣 the large shrimp in it were a pleasant surprise! And the boneless bbq ribs were soft and absolute perfection! Not the over cooked mess one could expect to get normally from lackadaisical restaurants so I appreciate it, and would dare to say the chefs enjoy their work! The house lo main was the first thing to go, it was delicious! So needless to say these reviews don't match at all so order with an open mind. And honestly learn how to spot good food! Easily one of the best Chinese places myself and my companion have been to since moving back to Evansdale. Not a single thing we ordered was incorrect, undercooked, overcooked, poor tasting. It was honestly PERFECT!

I loved their egg drop soup, egg rolls, almond cookies, steamed dumplings, and crab rangoons. Keep in mind this was on three different visits haha!

Their hunan chicken was absolutely delicious. My companion ordered it the first time and I taste tested and had to order it for myself the next time. Sadly, I didn't think about taking pictures because we were too dang hungry! Hehe

Sweet & Sour Chicken is my usual go to so I got it the most recent time we ordered from them through Beyond Menu. It was tasty, of course!

The staff were friendly, of course, and even indulged my companion in a bit of conversation. He's an Anthropologist and I'm into linguistics, so I was curious what dialect they spoke, so when he went to get our food they both greeted and indulged him in his question. Lovely staff running a lovely place.

good food good prices and good service despite what is said in a couple of these older reviews, their deliveries are always on time and the food is always fresh, it's family owned and operated, they do have their son who at is about 13 answering the phone and running the cash register, but he is not a thief or unfriendly at all and it makes me mad to read the bs review that says he is. i'd bet my life that whatever lead to the bad reviews about service was just a communication error, they are immigrants and english is not their first language so when you order it's bang boom pow meaning you tell um where you're at what you want they ask is that it and when you say yes it's...
